and Day was coveted by the nfl. it's not like the extension would prevent OSU from moving on from him so it doesnt really mean much to me.

regardless of whether you liked the hire or not they were aggressive in improving the program and signing the checks to make it happen. I think bailing on knowles after one game is beyond reactionary. the defense did improve quite a bit this year and was far better than the tire fire of the past 2 seasons. they weren't gonna turn into the '85 bears overnight. Day on the other hand...

I don't disagree with this as it's trending in a very bad direction and the fanbase is going bonkers, lol. but you cant make a move without a legitimate replacement available.
how the next month or so plays out in terms of what post season game they get and how they perform could be interesting...
