2776362, Gotta think the top 3 are Tatum, Giannis, and Luka.

I don't think Luka is there as far as the win total goes - but the numbers are insane. Tatum and Giannis have the stats and the wins. Obviously, Giannis is doing Giannis things - but narrative wise, I can see Tatum having the upper hand as everyone expects Giannis to play at an MVP level. But my money is on these guys being the top 3 at the end of the year.
2776365, His team doesn't have the wins yet, but what about Steph

Hitting 31.5 PPG, on .523/.433/.921 while shooting over 11 3's a game.

Here are his stats:

Season Age Tm Lg Pos G GS MP FG FGA FG% 3P 3PA 3P% 2P 2PA 2P% eFG% FT FTA FT% ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS

2022-23 34 GSW NBA PG 13 13 34.5 10.5 20.2 .523 5.0 11.5 .433 5.5 8.6 .643 .647 5.4 5.8 .921 0.7 5.9 6.6 6.4 1.1 0.1 2.5 2.0 31.5

It's early, yes. But if the Dubs can get back into the top 4, and Steph is the big reason why he could probably get into the Top 5 in the final vote.
2776367, steph could be the most valuable to his team.

except for luka maybe.

right now they might be the worst team in the league without him.
2776384, Tonight is Exhibit 1A

He has 44 through the midpoint of the 4th quarter and they're still down double digits.
2776372, His running mates are ruining an MVP level season.

2776371, Tatum

If Tatum and Brown both stay relatively healthy, it appears the Celtics may finish as 60+ win team. We'll see.
2776376, Steph. He's clearly the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER.

the way the Warriors are playing right now, there won't be enough team success for him to win.

but fuck, what the Warriors look like w/out him?

sucks, not only are they gonna waste his season, but in a year he might deserve it again, he won't be able to win.

2776385, Do we still not understand how this is award ACTUALLY works?
