I think they thought by getting ahead of the story and suspending him with vague details they thought they could look like a decent organization. And I'm not saying they aren't - but by putting out some of those details, it led to wild speculation and their women staffers got dragged into the conversation (as has been done in this thread) and that is beyond unfair.
