It's obviously a regular season award, everyone knows that. They just want to conveniently ignore it when it doesn't match an agenda.

Jokic put up one of the most efficient offensive seasons in modern NBA history, he played significantly improved defense, and his second best player was *Will Barton*.... AND THEY WON THREE FEWER GAMES THAN PHILLY OR MILWAUKEE. lol

Anyone who doesn't see the pro-Jokic argument is being silly. If you think Giannis deserved it more because he's only one of the five best defenders in the league, I think that's a reasonable argument. But that doesn't mean Jokic's argument isn't also insanely legit, nor does a terrible matchup against the Warriors cancel out what he did during the period in which one earns an MVP award, lol.
