Dwayne Haskins, a standout at Ohio State before struggling to catch on with Washington and Pittsburgh in the NFL, died this morning when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. Haskins would have turned 25 years old on May 3.

granted, i have no idea what kind of highway, i know there's varying sizes, but if it's a legit big highway he was crossing by foot, that's weird af.

which is super close to Boca and Ft. Lauderdale. Texting with a dude I’m pretty cool with who does the same thing I do, down there…he said 595 is a legit highway and especially where this happened, where it meets I95. Damn, he was hit by a dump truck. Fuck.

accepting this was a freak accident.

I thought he was changing a tire or trying to walk to get gas

but if he was just out walking like that I have to wonder if he was intoxicated, sleep walking or not in the right headspace and didn’t realize where he was at the time.

I was rooting for him to prove everyone wrong in Pittsburgh.

Admittedly, I'm only an expert on pro wrestling , Terps hoops, and the Washington Football team...and there's not a person in DC who's vouched for Dwayne Haskins as a professional.

It unfortunately sounds like Dwayne was partying with people who party too hard ala Len Bias. There's a difference between being set up and being irresponsible and he was, tragically, the latter. It's foolish to assume there's a conspiracy at play but I think her grief is revealing itself in this way and I pray to never have to endure the trauma she's enduring right now.
