No, they wouldn't because other teammates and organizations wouldn't put up with it. It was Oklahoma City, he's their only star attraction so they surrounded him with players that would defer and play how he wanted, which is why KD left.
I feel SO bad for Oscar Robertson. His hallowed record got broken by this guy, smh. At least he got a ring with Lew Alcindor to separate himself from this fraud.
