his intent, I don’t think his verbal actions are a fireable offense. He will probably have to issue a public apology, and be suspended without pay. I think that is a fair assessment.
He is guilty of being ignorant and unaware, and for not researching the history of the player before making such comments over the air. His words were inappropriate, distasteful, and hurtful, but it could have been a genuine mistake.
