I was REALLY caught off guard with how good LAX was on the mic. They're gonna be great on their own.

It was a fun show fo sho. This show is what I imagine people think lots of old eps of Raw and (the good era of) Nitro was. It wasn't, but nostalgia is a weird feeling. And man, people would DIE if weekly shows now were like the old WWE Superstars type shows where damn near nothing would happen, interview segments were aplenty and seeing big stars like Hulk in ANY match was like seeing bigfoot riding a unicorn.

Raw and Nitro tho?

Nitro had banger matches on a reg. Raw? Not as much during the key era that folks fawn over the most. I remember Russo overtly not wanting a match to last more than one 'segment'. Both shows had debuts and surprises sometimes. Both shows took regular shots at comedy at all levels of the card with wildly varying results. That stuff is frowned upon more now..probably because it is often less funny and it rarely veers into its so bad its good territory. Matt Hardy, Danhausen, Chicago Maxwell, and Orange Cassidey all work on me in small doses but I loved Big Boss Man so I might be the wrong one to ask. I still can't believe that people were too serious about Broken Matt Hardy. It was obviously meant to be completely ridiculous. And it was.
