msu in big trouble early

wisky looking like they're gonna find themselves back in the big 10 champ game...ugh.

let's see if UF can put a scare into UGA...but I doubt it.
2749649, Iowa might be the worst team to ever occupy the #2 ranking
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Oct-30-21 12:12 PM
2749652, I mean shit.
Posted by allStah, Sat Oct-30-21 12:56 PM
Purdue and Wisconsin back to back?

Yuck.

They have zero offense so if that defense doesn’t keep under 14,
it’s over.
2749656, I knew Iowa was a bunch fools gold
Posted by calij81, Sat Oct-30-21 01:55 PM
They probably would have lost against PSU if their QB doesn’t beg injured.
2749660, definitely not probably
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Oct-30-21 02:38 PM
>They probably would have lost against PSU if their QB

2749650, Any time Pitt gets a little recognition they shit the bed
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 12:25 PM
here comes that Western Michigan defense

and they always let Miami punk them.

2749651, We need michigan to come into The Game undefeated
Posted by guru0509, Sat Oct-30-21 12:44 PM
Lmao at Mel tuckers freezing tactics in this game though

I want to ruin their hopes so bad .

2749654, the rah-rah after each timeout was amusing

he really thought he was doing something
2749655, Michigan is cookin thru the air
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Oct-30-21 01:36 PM
6 games of mind-numbing conservatism wasnt always fun but MSUs defense really seems to have no idea whats coming next, and they dont have enough talent to play middle of the road

2749658, wtf is he doing on the field?
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Oct-30-21 02:31 PM
McNamara is having his best game at UM and McCarthy already fumbled once

this is like 1998 all over again when Brady and Drew Henson took turns trying to win and lose the game, respectively

now is the time for a so-called "game manager" so definitely bring in the variance machine

wtf
2749659, i said to a friend early in the game how dumb it was to platoon
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Oct-30-21 02:37 PM
McNamara was balling the fuck out there was no need for it

PLUS

dude fumbled on the previous drive...that was your warning. should've been sitting the rest of the game.
2749661, yes and yes
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Oct-30-21 02:45 PM
i understand why they run some option packages with him. hes fast, he can make the read, and he can hit the RPO out to the field side.

...

until he fucking fumbles. at that point its time to put it on the shelf
2749662, MSUs uncalled PI has been aggravating me for like 15 years now
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Oct-30-21 02:49 PM
2749663, Harbaugh with the summer camp choke sandwich!
Posted by allStah, Sat Oct-30-21 02:53 PM
Hold the chocolate milk and jello.

2749664, 2 4Q turnovers by the backup QB is ridiculous
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Oct-30-21 03:02 PM
idc about Cade's INT at the end. ppl are trying to make plays.

but JJ out there when all they have to do is ice a lead is Harbaugh outcoaching himself. theres no reason for that and coaching is the reason they lost.

McDonald got an uncomfortable welcome to the college game too. I dont understand how the DL can dominate while the defense as a whole gives up 200 yards to Walker. I also dont understand how god damned *Michigan State's* no huddle is the one to totally break down the entire system. GET YOUR FUCKING GUYS LINED UP
2749670, All this. All this. SMH
Posted by soulfunk, Sat Oct-30-21 04:09 PM
2749665, tell me harbaugh gonna make the post game presser about the officiating
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Oct-30-21 03:04 PM
lol
2749667, he has a legit bitch, but cant make it unless he wins
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sat Oct-30-21 03:53 PM
*I* can tho and multiple drives ended on terrible uncalled PI

and they could have called adrian Hutchison being held on literally every play

but hes gonna look like even more of a doofus than he already does if he talks about it at any length. that wasnt *the spot* vs OSU where the entire game turns on a dime. should have won even with those noncalls.
2749669, Is Mike Tomlin interested in the Michigan job???
Posted by soulfunk, Sat Oct-30-21 03:59 PM
lol
2749672, Ohio State's OL is on bye week right now
Posted by will_5198, Sat Oct-30-21 07:35 PM
2749673, PSU D ain't nothing to fuck with tonight
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 07:45 PM
at least right now it is.. lol

2749674, How the hell did Penn St lose to Illinois last week?
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 07:46 PM
2749683, oh, now I see how. Geez, this QB is something else
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 08:15 PM
2749675, didn't like that play on 4th and 5 for PSU
Posted by will_5198, Sat Oct-30-21 07:51 PM
good straight up man coverage by Ohio State, but Clifford was staring down a long-developing route
2749676, you can't get a first down if you don't throw it
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 07:55 PM
at least throw it at a WR's feet instead of taking a sack.
2749678, Clifford has shocking awareness for a senior
Posted by will_5198, Sat Oct-30-21 07:59 PM
nothing worse than a semi-athletic quarterback in college, since they think they can high school superman their way out of pressure
2749680, it's like the Big Ten clones these white QB's
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 08:03 PM
Wisky
PSU
Iowa

stiff ass boring QB play
2749677, WR Drake London (USC) broke something
Posted by will_5198, Sat Oct-30-21 07:55 PM
he'd been beasting on a bad team...onto to the NFL
2749679, #75 for the Buckeyes is traaaaaash
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 07:59 PM
main reason they can't run is because dude is getting abused.
2749681, rumble big man rumble!!!! LMAO
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 08:10 PM
2749682, the Penn State offense is just making me sad
Posted by will_5198, Sat Oct-30-21 08:14 PM
Clifford can't read hot when Ohio State brings simple pressures, and the route combinations aren't very good either
2749707, He's been that way his entire time there

2749686, I miss going to Ohio State home games, especially at night
Posted by guru0509, Sat Oct-30-21 08:32 PM
Haven't been to Columbus ever since Urban Meyer took over...

last game I went to was Ohio State @ Cal when Kenny Guiton was starting

These Ohio State jerseys are hideous though

Penn State with the classic look and we get this scarlet abomination, oh well..the players seem to love them.

2749694, im like an old conservative white dude when it comes to jerseys
Posted by guru0509, Sat Oct-30-21 10:08 PM
i dont like innovation in the jerseys for classic programs...

but whatever lands the recruits..i blame Nike/ Phil Knight and Oregon for all this tinkering
2749703, crowd looked legit...helps when you don't kickoff at noon go figure.
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sun Oct-31-21 12:18 AM
people were selling their tix for below face value though.

not like back in the day when you had to spend your life savings to get into the stadium for big games.
2749688, i knew that was targeting ...smh we are cursed w that penalty in big games
Posted by guru0509, Sat Oct-30-21 08:46 PM
2749692, what was that?
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Oct-30-21 09:40 PM
2749693, We would not beat UGA Alabama or Oklahoma as of today...
Posted by guru0509, Sat Oct-30-21 10:04 PM
(Cinci would get crushed by everyone in the top 10 except michigan and iowa, lets be honest)

CJ Stroud and these linebackers secondary got some growing up to do quickly before Mel Tucker and MSU show up in town...

2749701, oklahoma barely beat Kansas last week
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sun Oct-31-21 12:15 AM
OSU definitely has a lot of improving to do but the idea that they need to fear MSU...sorry no.

overall a good win against a PSU team that always plays OSU tough. left a ton of points on the field and had a million penalties yet still won by 9. i think they'll grow from this game.

2749711, they were just sleep walking hte first half..they scored 5 tds in 2 qtrs
Posted by guru0509, Sun Oct-31-21 08:59 AM
>OSU definitely has a lot of improving to do but the idea that

kenny walker is waaay better than anything we've seen since oregon

this defense is going to make me uneasy all year,

>overall a good win against a PSU team that always plays OSU
>tough. left a ton of points on the field and had a million

I like Stroud a lot, and like you said he needs to be more Mike Vick than Aaron Rodgers until he learns the playbook.
2749704, props to psu for always coming to play
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sun Oct-31-21 12:23 AM
they couldve mailed this one in and they didnt

stroud really needs to start tucking and running more.
2749709, Sean Tucker (Cuse RB) is elite
Posted by DJR, Sun Oct-31-21 08:21 AM
Cuse lost 3 games by 3 points each. Could easily be 8-1, in which case Tucker would be getting full on Heisman hype.
2749748, how the hell is Penn State still ranked?
Posted by legsdiamond, Sun Oct-31-21 05:26 PM
2749749, They almost beat Ohio State on the road, bro.
Posted by Orbit_Established, Sun Oct-31-21 05:32 PM

They are probably one of the 15 best teams in the country,
and will probably land their when its all said and done

nah.. they should be out.
2750244, Illinois just beat #20 Minnesota. So what now?
Posted by Orbit_Established, Sat Nov-06-21 07:37 PM

2749757, Gary Patterson stepping down at TCU, immediately
Posted by will_5198, Sun Oct-31-21 06:30 PM
the program has been treading water for a while but surprised at the timing
2749930, lol, these CFP rankings
Posted by will_5198, Tue Nov-02-21 08:43 PM
1. Georgia
2. Alabama
3. Michigan State
4. Oregon
5. Ohio State
6. Cincinnati
7. Michigan
8. Oklahoma
9. Wake Forest
10. Notre Dame

bama being number two is truly amazing, clearly the committee is scheming for the SEC Championship and possible final four rematch

1 vs 2 in the conference title game, and if bama wins, they both are in the playoff

the fact bama is so high now, you have to believe a close loss to Georgia somehow gets them in as the fourth seed

fealty to the king
2749944, I get not wanting to rank UC 2nd
Posted by obsidianchrysalis, Wed Nov-03-21 12:08 AM
But 6th??!?
Out of the teams 4-6, Oregon has the best win. But they've lost one. And I'm not sure OSU beating Penn State at home (when Penn State has been shaky) is better than UC thumping ND on the road.

You'd think the committee would be advocating for UC so they can lean on the idea of 'parity' in FBS.
2749946, Be honest…is Cincy’s resume better than anyone in front of them?
Posted by Tiger Woods, Wed Nov-03-21 05:14 AM
2749947, Cincy SOS is weaker than Wake and they don’t pass the eye test
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Nov-03-21 06:49 AM
The committee is generous to even give them this look. I’d have them ranked outside the top 10
2749948, Cincy's best win might end up being Notre Dame.
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Wed Nov-03-21 07:20 AM
And Notre Dame is barely beating weak teams this year. These schools just gotta find a way to start playing better opponents during the regular season.
2749957, I would have put Cincinnati at 4th and no lower than 5th
Posted by calij81, Wed Nov-03-21 09:26 AM
2749954, nah the committee wants the best games, ratings & keeping the sec happy
Posted by 3xKrazy, Wed Nov-03-21 08:33 AM
>You'd think the committee would be advocating for UC so they
>can lean on the idea of 'parity' in FBS.
>
2749955, That’s as true as the fact that Cincy also isn’t a special team
Posted by Tiger Woods, Wed Nov-03-21 08:37 AM
There’s not a team 1-5 whose resume isn’t markedly more impressive than Cincinnati, there just ain’t

BUT

yes, the CFP/ESPN greed and bias is still on full display
2750061, 2 out of 3 aint bad
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Nov-04-21 08:38 AM
cause they damn sure dont want the best games..

they want the best match up for ratings on paper regardless of the actual chances of a good game.

2750069, they've missed on a few of their selections over the years
Posted by 3xKrazy, Thu Nov-04-21 09:55 AM
>cause they damn sure dont want the best games..

but mostly due to wonky pseudo rules regarding conf championships, divisions, etc.

not because they havent propped up your fav team cincy

in general i really do think they want the most competitive games as most of us do.
2749988, why would the committee want UC in there?
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Nov-03-21 02:06 PM
the whole reason for Texas and Oklahoma going to the SEC announcement and all the conference disruptions was to stop the 12 team playoff format.

These power schools aren’t trying to share playoff revenue with UC and smaller schools.

Same reason teams like Florida and Penn State can have 3 losses and still be ranked in the top 20.

SEC teams get rewarded for losing. Miss St has 3 losses but since they beat A&M and Kentucky they are 17th???

I bet they end up with 5 losses.

and when these SEC teams lose their bowl games we will hear how they didn’t have anything to play for.

2749945, I see the Alabama ranking as a way to potentially eliminate them
Posted by calij81, Wed Nov-03-21 12:25 AM
A close loss would allow the committee to drop Alabama into 5th place.
2749949, ^^^^ This
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Wed Nov-03-21 07:23 AM
If Alabama beats Georgia, they're both in. But if Alabama loses there's no way they are in. I've seen other sports sites say a two loss Alabama gets in, but i have no clue why they would think that.

They're basically saying "Alabama is still prolly the best team in the nation, but they had an off day against A&M. So if you want in you gotta beat Georgia." Unless Kirby Smart still insists on this Stetson Bennett The Honorable 3rd or whatever the fuck his name is being the starter over JT Daniels.
2749952, Yeah they have to win out. UGA can afford the Bama loss
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Nov-03-21 08:04 AM
2749966, then why not just rank them fourth or fifth now?
Posted by will_5198, Wed Nov-03-21 11:49 AM
if they lose to Georgia while ranked fourth or fifth, they will be out of the playoff

if they lose while ranked 2nd, they actually have a shot to drop to fourth and still be in

did everyone forget bama lost already and Ole Miss is their best win
2749984, SEC bias, lack of respect for Cincinnati, TV ratings
Posted by calij81, Wed Nov-03-21 01:36 PM
That being said if Bama has two losses, I don’t see them getting into the CFB over an undefeated Oklahoma, 1 loss Oregon or 1 loss Ohio State.

I believe if Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon and Ohio State win out, that’s probably your CFB field.
2749985, Maybe 3% chance this happens
Posted by 3xKrazy, Wed Nov-03-21 01:43 PM

>
>if Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon and Ohio State win out,
2749991, right. but putting them 2nd in no way helps eliminate them.
Posted by will_5198, Wed Nov-03-21 02:09 PM
in fact, that's really the only way they can still go to the playoff if they lose to Georgia in a close game.

if they lose to Georgia in a close game and are 4th, it's hard to justify them staying in the top four.

that said. doesn't really matter since these teams will have other losses between now and the final rankings. just funny to see bama propped up without an actual resume, as always.
2749995, ^^all facts

2750014, right! They want Bama in so bad its comical
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Nov-03-21 06:10 PM
and why can’t Cincinnati get blown out like Oklahoma and Notre Dame do every other year in the semi’s?

2749986, because they don’t think they are the 4th or 5th best team
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Nov-03-21 01:48 PM
I know I dont
2750017, way too many upsets and parody this year
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Nov-03-21 06:25 PM
to act like these 1 loss teams are head and shoulders above UC.

2750029, *parity
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Nov-03-21 09:03 PM
damn.. lol
2750036, i hope cincy gets in and gets boatraced
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Nov-03-21 11:53 PM
so we dont have to hear this shit anymore. i've seen them play. and i am fairly certain my App State would give them that work let alone Alabama/UGA/Oregon/OSU. Hell even Oklahoma.
2750060, Why?
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Nov-04-21 08:33 AM
IMO, Cincy isn’t any worse than a ND, Oklahoma or Oregon.

but regardless of what you think would happen, the “committee” isn’t supposed to go on what they “think” will happen to a team like Cincy.

Acting like they are protecting fans from seeing a beatdown..

just so we can see a big 5 school get beat down.
2749970, Poor Cincinnati
Posted by Ceej, Wed Nov-03-21 12:00 PM
ranked exactly where they should be
