but i dont think his comment was meant to be interpreted literally.

yes the question was fine given the carson palmer rumor and it was also fine for tomlin to use that moment to grandstand and curry favor with the fans and organization. he didn't disrespect the reporter in any way. and the reporter gets a great soundbite. both parties win.
