2746632, College Football: Week 3
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 11:08 AM

These college spreads make zero sense.

Cincy -3 favorite over a weak Indiana team. They should at least be
a double digit favorite.

Be careful if you’re betting today. I’m only betting on one
game right now and that’s Pittsburg. That should be a lock.
2746633, this is probably the livest I've ever seen the crowd at an indiana game
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 11:23 AM
cincy doesn't look so hot at the start
2746636, Yeah, does Indiana and Cincy have some low key hate with each other
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 11:39 AM
Bama/Florida should be good.

I’m hoping Oklahoma smashes Nebraska by 45.
2746634, looking forward to watching bama get a semi-real matchup
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 11:24 AM
and seeing if osu can hold tulsa under 35 points.
2746637, Cincy about to be down by 2 scores.
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 11:48 AM
Knew that line was fishy...

Good lord. If they lose against bum ass Indiana, they
dropping out of the top 20!

Costal Carolina getting bum rushed by freaking Buffalo right now...

2746638, You thought Cincy wasn’t a big enough favorite
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 12:04 PM
This shows that Vegas was right and you were wrong
2746640, pitt is getting worked too
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 12:19 PM
2746643, What that means is that I knew it was
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 12:30 PM
a trap game because Cincy was only a -3.5 favorite.....when a number
8 team should have been favorite by more against a non ranked team.

A game to stay away from.

2746648, Fair enough, I guess you didn’t say which way to bet on that game
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 12:58 PM
2746639, holy shit what was 75 doing trying to scoop that?????
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 12:18 PM
what a dreadful performance by cincy
2746641, I don’t see the Big 12 keeping their automatic playoff spot
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 12:23 PM
The addition of Cincy, BYU, Houston and UCF does nothing for them in terms of competitiveness with the other conferences.

UCF lost to what looks like a 7-5 Louisville team.

Cincinnati might lose to what looks like a 7-5 Indiana team.
2746644, so much mediocrity this year
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 12:40 PM
gonna be awhile before the playoff picture clarifies itself
2746661, that UCF ending was crazy. QB broke something on the last play
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 01:49 PM
and Louisville and ESPN gave no fucks about his injury.. game over nigga!
2746645, OSU should come out angry, mad
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 12:54 PM
and ready to destroy.

Expecting a beatdown.

2746646, OSU should come out angry, mad
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 12:54 PM
and ready to destroy.

Expecting a beatdown.

2746649, Pittsburgh should be up 27-7.
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 01:00 PM
Their offense fumbled the ball 3 times

27-27 at the half.

Lock it up in the second half and take care of business.
2746657, Never bet on Pittsburgh teams.. lol
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 01:24 PM
Especially when they win a big game the previous week.

Hopefully they settle down second half but PITT usually loses games like this AT HOME every damn year.

2746651, Has a program risen and fallen as fast as UConn football?
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 01:02 PM
They went from FCS powerhouse to FBS independent to Big East member, Big East champ and BCS bowl heights. Fast forward a decade later and now they are an independent and about to go winless.
2746654, its Pittsburgh with an H. You just jinxed us.. lol
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 01:07 PM
2746658, Now that Helton is fired, is Frost next?
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 01:35 PM
2746659, That’s more like it Cincy
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 01:39 PM
I want you going into that Notre Dame game on top.

Let’s go.
2746660, Notre Dame about to lose today
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 01:46 PM
just putting it out there

NC losing to UVA

and would love to see Clemson lose to South Carolina but that is asking for too much.
2746669, ND got a very generous flag on that 4th down play
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 02:44 PM
2746678, have to beat ND and the refs in South Bend
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 03:28 PM
they prolly lead the league in 4th down penalty conversions

and not sure why I thought Clemson was playing SC today.
2746667, MSU looking like a pretty respectable club out there
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 02:36 PM
rb is a beast
2746668, Yeah they are looking good. Mel Tucker looks like a good hire
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 02:43 PM
They have controlled this game.

Miami isn’t looking good this season.
2746674, They look like the same team they’ve been for 10+ years
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 03:15 PM

>Miami isn’t looking good this season.
2746676, True, I just expected them to be a bit better with King back
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 03:26 PM
Not that Miami would be BACK but that Miami would be more of an 8/9 win team.
2746700, people want Miami-FL to happen so bad
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 06:49 PM
they are who they are, an occasionally above-average ACC team

funny that Texas' and Miami's most marquee, "we're back!", wins of the last decade came against Notre Dame
2746670, Good way to come through Cincy.
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 02:51 PM
Tough lost for Pitt. Those 3 TOs were costly. Even on the day
, got the over win on the Aston villa game.

Notre Dame taking care of business so far.

Hopefully, OSU, takes care of business so that I can have a profit
for the day before betting on some night games.
2746672, Florida cant tackle
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Sep-18-21 03:13 PM
2746675, It’s weird seeing a TOSU qb struggle , stroud w another miss
Posted by guru0509, Sat Sep-18-21 03:19 PM
Usually it’s plug and play they come in and just click (Brax, Kenny Guiton, Barrett, Cardale, Haskins)

I like that we at least have options on the bench
2746677, so why isnt Mullen playing Richardson
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Sep-18-21 03:28 PM
Emory Jones isnt good.
2746681, hammy
Posted by tariqhu, Sat Sep-18-21 03:55 PM
2746684, no way they can beat bama or Georgia with Jones
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 04:37 PM
2746688, Agreed
Posted by dillinjah, Sat Sep-18-21 05:22 PM
2746698, Jones played a lot better than I thought he could
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 06:44 PM
Richardson would've been dangerous even as a change of pace though, could have made the difference
2746679, Not a good day for the ACC
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 03:29 PM
Va Tech, Miami, and Pitt all lost their OCC games. Even if Clemson goes 11-1 they probably won’t play or beat a ranked opponent this season.
2746706, TELL THAT TO DUKE BABY
Posted by Frank Longo, Sat Sep-18-21 08:07 PM
ALMOST BLEW IT ONCE AGAIN, LIVED TO TELL THE TALE
2746682, Number 5 Iowa struggling
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 04:04 PM
against Kent State.

9-7.

Gave Iowa State the business, but doesn’t seem to know what to
do against “who the fock are you University”?

Strange day today.
2746685, Notre Dame, you saps!
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 04:42 PM
Domers eat!
2746690, it was Purdue.. lol
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 05:34 PM
2746692, You mad.
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 05:37 PM
2746730, yep.. I root against you guys every week
Posted by legsdiamond, Sun Sep-19-21 08:46 AM
2746689, Florida hanging with Bama.. I thought this was over at 21-3
Posted by legsdiamond, Sat Sep-18-21 05:33 PM
2746691, Gators trying to hang tough with Bama
Posted by ThaTruth, Sat Sep-18-21 05:36 PM
2746693, Fock Bama!
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 05:39 PM
Florida stuffing these dudes at the goal line

They can be beaten.

2746694, OSU’s defense is the worst defense I’ve seen in my life
Posted by allStah, Sat Sep-18-21 05:45 PM
Tulsa is walking through OSU’s defense.

Ryan Day fock around and get fired at the end of the
season if he doesn’t fix this.

2746695, what a terrible 2 pt play. florida battled tho
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Sep-18-21 05:48 PM
2746699, when the mesh point becomes one slow-moving human knot
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 06:46 PM
never seen that before

you got to come up with a lot better than that against bama on the two yard line
2746701, also, you have to at least try and throw a pass with 4 seconds left
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 06:50 PM
Jones trying to break the middle of the pocket and run 50 yards
2746704, Right. Meanwhile, Bama isn't great this year
Posted by dillinjah, Sat Sep-18-21 08:03 PM
>never seen that before
>
>you got to come up with a lot better than that against bama on
>the two yard line

Not to suggest UF is good by any means, but Bama can definitely be beat.

Hopefully that's not by UGA
2746716, Saban is probably can't wait until the next practice
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 10:41 PM
because he gets to dog the shit out of his defense

bama defenders were gassed in the fourth because they haven't played a competitive four quarter game in a while

unfortunately, Saban can use this win as the ultimate coaching point and their defense will likely improve
2746717, no one is great this year
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Sep-18-21 10:46 PM
Bama still the best of a down bunch until proven otherwise.

but i really think this is just a down year overall which i hope will add some randomness to the playoff 4
2746696, Bryce needs to run more.
Posted by tariqhu, Sat Sep-18-21 05:51 PM
he had a possible td earlier, but passed it. but the defense sucked ass after that first qtr.
2746702, Norvell going to make it to the end of the season?
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 07:04 PM
FSU is 0-3 for the first time in 45 years

they've given up 35 ppg since the start of 2020, and it might be 40 ppg if last year's Clemson game hadn't been cancelled

they look worse than at any time during Taggert's tenure
2746708, I mean, if they fired Taggart….
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 09:19 PM
FSU looks terrible right now. Luckily the ACC is just as bad so they should still win 4-6 games but it will be a struggle.
2746710, they should? they just lost to Jacksonville State last week at home
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 09:25 PM
>Luckily the ACC is just as bad
>so they should still win 4-6 games but it will be a struggle.

and Wake Forest made FSU look like a FCS team today

it will take all their power to get 4 wins:

Louisville
Syracuse
@ UNC
UMass
@ Clemson
NC State
Miami-FL
@ Boston College
@ Florida

2746713, Oh I’m aware they lost to Jville State and WF crushed them today
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 10:32 PM
You’re right they may not get to 4 wins this season.

They have looked terrible.
2746703, Tank Bigsby is fun to watch, man
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 07:40 PM
he's not a freak athlete, just a smooth and physical *running back*

he gets yards that other guys don't
2746707, best game so far this season. love these whiteouts
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 09:04 PM
>he's not a freak athlete, just a smooth and physical *running

2746709, another fantastic targeting call
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 09:21 PM
basically you can dive headfirst to cross the pylon and nobody can touch you because you are defenseless
2746711, brutal play call there
Posted by 3xKrazy, Sat Sep-18-21 09:57 PM
2746712, the fade has been proven to be one of the most inefficient
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 10:02 PM
passing plays in football (mathematically, even the NFL is horrible at converting it)

now imagine the odds of Uncle Bo Rico completing one
2746714, LOL at this name and Uncle Bo Rico completing a fade pass
Posted by calij81, Sat Sep-18-21 10:33 PM

>now imagine the odds of Uncle Bo Rico completing one
2746715, D.J. Uiagalelei watch yet?
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 10:36 PM
it's been three games and he's looked terrible

averaging 116 TOTAL yards of offense per game and he has scored exactly one TD so far

not sure how you can be completing less than 63% of your passes when you are averaging under 6 YPA in college, where they let you block anybody within 10 yards of the LOS

Clemson's offense as a whole looks downgraded, but you are the five-star, can't-miss trigger man

do something
2746721, My nephew got some real playing time for Stanford tonight…
Posted by soulfunk, Sat Sep-18-21 11:07 PM
His name is Jaden Slocum - he’s a true freshman corner, had offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Florida, Georgia, USC, MSU, and a ton of other schools. He enrolled early at Stanford earlier this year. Because of the pandemic he missed out on taking most of his recruiting visits (and for some reason the scouting sites never updated his 3 star ranking even though he had all those P5 scholarship offers.)

Jaden got playing time last week in the USC game on special teams, but today he played the entire second half at corner.

It’s surreal seeing him out there. He was two years old watching football with my dad (his grandfather) and was able to follow the action, and started running “plays” with us in the living room. He’s been playing organized football since he was 3 years old so he’s living out his dream right now. Got straight A’s in his first semester at Stanford too.

So yeah…I have a Pac12 team to root for right along with Michigan.
2746722, I'll be checking for him
Posted by will_5198, Sat Sep-18-21 11:15 PM
I didn't realize Stanford had never allowed an athlete to enroll early until this year
2746727, Yep - Jaden and Ari Patu were the first this year.
Posted by soulfunk, Sun Sep-19-21 06:45 AM
It was crazy because of the pandemic. Jaden graduated high school early in December but had been fully virtual. Then when he enrolled at Stanford early he moved from Georgia all the way to Cali, just to still be going to school virtually and with very few people on campus.

On top of that, because Stanford had never brought in early enrollees their cadence during spring ball is different from other teams. Instead of being the start to a new season they typically build on what the last season was - it’s assumed that the players already know the playbook and such. AND they moved him from free safety to corner, which he never played in high school. He’s used to playing center field, sitting back and reacting to what the offense does which is totally different from playing man to man coverage on an an island with a WR. But he’s tall - 6’2” and really fast so corner is where he has the most upside.

Given all that I didn’t think he’d be getting playing time as a true freshman, but they’ve had a couple injuries to DBs so he made his way into the rotation.
2746723, It's hard not to be a fan of David Shaw, and now I got another reason
Posted by guru0509, Sat Sep-18-21 11:53 PM

Stanford, Michigan, and Notre Dame. Even as a Michigan alumn who would have LOVED having him here in Ann Arbor with me, I’m thrilled he’s playing for Shaw.
2746725, Congrats!Hopefully we can all keep the momentum going nm

2746731, Its wild watching my friends kids play in college or the NFL
Posted by legsdiamond, Sun Sep-19-21 08:50 AM
really shows my age too.

I have a friend who’s son has already played 8 years and retired already.. and my friend is like 5 years older than me.

and my kids are 4 and 6.

With this type of playing time early he has a good shot an an NFL roster based on all those schools that recruited him.

Congrats!!!
2746736, Nice! A former student and player of mine starts for PSU.
Posted by Mignight Maruder, Sun Sep-19-21 09:55 AM
Just on ST’s, but he’s always the first one down for punts and kicks. #37 for PSU. He’s actually one of the fastest players in all of CFB, but hasn’t been able to stick at any one position.

Sounds like you’re nephew is off to a great start and chose a great program and coach to play for. Pretty surreal when it’s your own family too.
2746726, Fresno's in your area! Too bad about the collapse vs Oregon last week nm
