2746552, Fire Mike Zimmer
Posted by Mack, Thu Sep-16-21 07:43 AM
I smell an 0-2 start for the Vikings. Zimmer needs to go. My suggestion is to hire Eric Bieniemy, suffer through Kirk Cousins for this season and next, then hope that Bieniemy has gotten Kellen Mond to the place where he's ready to take over.
2746821, Why can the Vikings never find a competent kicker??
Posted by Mack, Mon Sep-20-21 07:21 AM
ugh
2746555, 0-2. Our offensive line is trash and the injuries are killin us.
Posted by Beezo, Thu Sep-16-21 08:14 AM

2746563, Now Ronnie Stanley is out for multiple weeks. It’s over.

2746564, Damn shame

but as a Steeler fan who has seen my D with a ton of injuries these last few years..

I’m glad that injury bug finally left the Burgh
2746565, Yea, we got it bad this year. Both sides of the ball.

2746556, Go Lions!
Posted by bentagain, Thu Sep-16-21 08:35 AM
Rodgers has supplanted Brady...as the QB to root against
I actually rooted for Brady last year...alot of people had that wrong
Rodgers is now the target of all of my hate
If GB takes an L to DET on MNF, after getting washed by NO on a neutral field...tuesday might be the best day ever.
Go Lions!
2746562, Gallup out til October…
Posted by Dstl1, Thu Sep-16-21 10:55 AM
La’el suspended 5 games…now, our best defensive player breaks his foot in practice…out 6-8 weeks. We can’t have nothing, lol/smh
2746584, based on the tampa game i thought luck might be on our side this year
Posted by mista k5, Thu Sep-16-21 05:12 PM
i kept thinking on the turn-overs and such that last year that would had resulted on the other team scoring a TD.

blah lol

i think this game will give me a better feeling on how i expect the season to play out. the tampa performance was nice but without the win its hard to put too much weight on it.

2746587, The holding call on Jones TD was pure bullshit
Posted by DJR, Thu Sep-16-21 09:02 PM
The kind of call they only make on “nobody” teams.

Our defense had their one good year every 5 last season, and is back to being some basic ass pussies getting bled to death by a scrub QB.

2746603, that call almost made me check the Vegas line for this game
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Sep-17-21 01:21 PM
2746589, lmao at all these penalties

Posted by Melanism, Fri Sep-17-21 08:33 AM
I really wish the Manning Brothers were on the broadcast for this one to soften the blow.
2746605, Shit was so bananas. I was at the Desean game, this had me

completely speechless just staring numb at the television

There's footage out there that shows the center's hand moving slightly before Dexter jumped, but shouldn't have come down to that.

Player errors and soft playcalling earned us the L

2746745, Great opening drive for the Colts, only for it to die on the 1 yard line
Posted by calij81, Sun Sep-19-21 12:10 PM
2746747, Wentz really did a play-action to air with the RB sprinting to the flat
Posted by will_5198, Sun Sep-19-21 12:21 PM
on the snap

Fisher, Nelson and Kelly of that vaunted o-line got punked on four straight plays
2746749, Red zone Wentz is terrible. How you throw a pick on a shuttle pass?!
Posted by calij81, Sun Sep-19-21 12:42 PM
And yeah, that play action to the air on 4th down and then taking a sack at the 10 was terrible game awareness. At least throw it away so the Rams start at the 1 and not the 10.
2746746, Rams just gashed the shit out of Indys D
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 12:18 PM
.
2746748, Zach Wilson looks really bad.....for the second week in a row.
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Sun Sep-19-21 12:40 PM
There's something to be said for really bad teams not starting their QBs right away. I dont see how any of this helps his confidence and development.
2746752, Just threw his 3rd Interception of the first half....
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Sun Sep-19-21 01:00 PM
2746760, Make that 4 interceptions....
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Sun Sep-19-21 01:48 PM
2746750, Well, you want Fields? You got him. Andy hurt.
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 12:45 PM
2746751, Baker tried to make a tackle on his interception…
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 12:48 PM
and got absolutely dumptrucked.
2746754, Is Tua injured or did Flores pull him?
Posted by calij81, Sun Sep-19-21 01:09 PM
I’m always down for Jacoby Brissett to get an opportunity to play but it seems a bit early to do the QB carousel for Miami.
2746755, He got his ribs cooked…
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 01:12 PM
so bad, he was carted off
2746762, Fins oline got him killed
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun Sep-19-21 01:56 PM
2746774, Tua gets hit in the most awkward ways
Posted by will_5198, Sun Sep-19-21 03:43 PM
never seen that guy take a clean hit

he's always getting leveled or rolled up or crumpled

as a smaller guy he should work on that
2746758, Kupp having a day…
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 01:34 PM
Also, don’t think I’ve seen Darius Leonard get washed away this much.
2746759, Is Sam Darnold good now? Dude is balling
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Sun Sep-19-21 01:36 PM
Amazing what a change of organization can do. Saints getting stomped
2746765, Wentz’s body won’t last with him playing like this..
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 02:13 PM
he’s taking licks, out there.
2746768, Injured again....
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Sun Sep-19-21 02:49 PM
2746777, hero ball + mediocre receivers + retired LT and no replacement
Posted by will_5198, Sun Sep-19-21 03:50 PM
Reich and Ballard trying to replicate the early Andrew Luck years, except with a quarterback that isn't very good.

Ballard is looking like he won the dumbass award of the offseason by signing the mortgage on Wentz's "comeback", then not having any good plan to protect his blind side. even though Castonzo told him a year in advance that 2020 would be it.

Ballard's solution was to finding a LT was to draft two defensive linemen in the first two rounds, including one that just ruptured his Achilles, then sign Eric Fisher, who tore his own Achilles this calendar year.
2746792, his offensive line hates him.
Posted by Reeq, Sun Sep-19-21 06:32 PM
2746769, Defense played well, but it was against the Bengals.
Posted by allStah, Sun Sep-19-21 03:13 PM
Dalton looked good and had the offense rolling before he got
injured. I don’t have any confidence in Fields right now. He is a rookie,
and he is quick to run at any sign of trouble, plus he holds onto the
ball too long.

Also, he takes rushes away from Montgomery. Mont had 7 straight games with
100 yards running. The streak was broken today...

I’m not completely sold on Fields starting right now... I hope Andy is healthy
enough to go next week, because he is the better qB.

We got a W. That’s all that matters.

Also, Robinson is a G. It doesn’t matter who the QB is. He is getting a TD.
2746772, Gronk about to lead the league in TouchDowns
Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Sun Sep-19-21 03:19 PM
He looks like vintage healthy Gronk
2746776, "Another one." - Gronk

2746778, Raiders finally have a defense again
Posted by Mynoriti, Sun Sep-19-21 03:58 PM
after 3 years of humiliation under Guenther, Gus Bradley has these boys playing tight.

Looking good all around, especially being down Jacobs and half the O-line.

Definitely didn't hurt that TJ Watt went out early.
2746823, Our D risked it all week 1. Now everyone is hurt
Posted by legsdiamond, Mon Sep-20-21 08:47 AM
and I knew Watt would go down after his contract.

just like his older bro
2746779, Kyler looks like he’s being fast forwarded when he scrambles

2746786, Fuck the NFL and this pussy ass taunting rule.
Posted by Beezo, Sun Sep-19-21 06:00 PM
Just had to get that out.
2746787, About to come down to Greg’s leg
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 06:15 PM
.
2746788, What are your thoughts about the last offensive play they ran?
Posted by obsidianchrysalis, Sun Sep-19-21 06:22 PM
I couldn't believe they called the run. Okay, they thought they would zig when the Bolts expected zag.

But then don't you either call the timeout or at least hurry up to the line and call another play?
2746791, NFL clock management will never stop amazing me
Posted by will_5198, Sun Sep-19-21 06:28 PM
these head coaches are at the top of their professions, spending 16-18 hours a day game-planning the minutiae of every play

but they do not bother to have any sort of rules or plan for these kind of clock management situations that actually win or lose games

clock stopped with three downs, a timeout and 33 seconds left -- how in THE FUCK do you only get one offensive play off and 3 yards? you actually have to be trying to be a dumbfuck on the sidelines

2746796, I was dumbfounded when the clock kept running…
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Sep-19-21 06:42 PM
who the fuck purposely plays for a 56 yard FG, with a guy who has been shaky as fuck and admittedly not completely healthy?
2746839, i almost felt better about last weeks loss lol
Posted by mista k5, Mon Sep-20-21 04:34 PM
cowboys started off plenty good this game but by the end of it i felt the chargers deserved that W. i'll take it though.

gregs accuracy is as puzzling as mccarthys play calling clock/management

defense does look better than last year and they got the plays they needed but they sure give up a lot of big plays. the competition has been good and the injuries dont help.

running game might be plenty good. overall i think it is trending towards more wins than not.
2746843, last year, we lose that game...
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Sep-20-21 05:35 PM
and even though the team had to wrestle McCarthy to the ground to get the win, I'll take it. We made the drive when it was needed. The defense gets gashed...but, again...all we really needed was to not be the worst defense in history. Add to that, we got guys with a nose for the ball who are also being coached up and I love it.
2746789, Sloppy win by tampa, though score suggests otherwise
Posted by dillinjah, Sun Sep-19-21 06:23 PM
The front 7 turned it up in the 4th, thankfully.

They're gonna need that next week in spades for the Rams
2746793, they couldnt wait for jameis to trip up.

Posted by will_5198, Sun Sep-19-21 06:55 PM
I remember he had a nice season or two, but whenever I catch a little of Chicago he is playing like one of the worst safeties in the league
2746799, how was that not a safety?

Rams offense is booming, but now their defense is looking suspect.

I was driving south and I was talking to my uncle while he was watching it and we were cursing at Harbaugh early.

They got lucky. Lamar can't bail them out every game, even if he is the one who dug the hole.
2746831, Bucs took care of biz against the Falcons...
Posted by CyrenYoung, Mon Sep-20-21 12:33 PM
..but they're far from polished.

Too many mistakes, too many penalties. At some point they'll find themselves in a tough match up against a hungry team that won't let up and those same mental errors will prove to be too much to overcome.

Offensively, Brady's finding rhythm with the weapons around him. With such a talented offense that relies heavily on play-action pass, the bucs have yet to truly get the ground game going.

The defense looked great at times, but still suffers from inconsistency (esp when holding a significant lead). Eventually, that defense took over the game, with a notable performance by Mike Edwards.

I'll be interesting to see how this team holds itself accountable throughout the season.

Next up: The Rams.
