"It's not being taught the right way. A quarterback should only throw the ball to certain places, otherwise your receiver is in danger of getting hurt.

"Now, every hard hit is a penalty on the defense. They are penalizing defensive players for offensive players' mistakes. You should be protecting yourself and your teammates. It shouldn't be the responsibility of your opponent.

"It creates really bad habits. You feel like you can do anything -- you can run as a quarterback and not slide. You can throw the ball into any coverage. Because in the end, they are going to blame the defensive player."
