The COVID situation in Japan is much much worse than it is in America right now. It seems as if playing in the Olympics is a worse version of playing in the bubble in terms of the solitude the players are subjected to. Can't venture out and see Japan and they have to play without fans in the stands. And the players aren't getting paid for it? And they have to eat into their off-season time to rest up and/or improve to their skillsets and/or bulk up with a good strength and training regimen?
