To be clear…yes?
Terry Porter was a good player, tough and smart. Might compare him to J. Holliday or Mike Conley. A good player but at best a fringe top 10 guy at his position and I'm hesitant to give him that because:
Magic Kevin Johnson Isaiah Mo Cheeks Stockton Price Hardaway Payton
He was in that Fats Lever/Doc Rivers/Sleepy Floyd range…a good player
Jerome Kersey was Harrison Barnes, maybe? With better defense and less athleticism
Kevin Duckworth was decent, really, that's it. All jokes aside, if you were watching at the time, he was a player who did pretty well in the regular season and folded hard in the playoffs. He was never better than pretty good and he disappeared against top shelf competition.
Solid scorer, bad rebounder, poor defender with a league-wide reputation for being soft. He was not aggressive and was outplayed by the Bulls centers in the Finals, which says it all, cause they were JAG's.
He averaged 11ppg and 6 rebounds in the playoffs
10ppg the next season
None of these guys are as good as Toni Kukoc or Horace Grant, even.
And Clyde didn't just get to one conference finals. He took them to a WCF against the Lakers(where they force a game 7 at home if Terry Porter hits a wide open jumper), then the next year to the Finals.
