>BEL 3 POR 2
>ITA 2 AUS 0
>FRA 3 SWI 1
>CRO 1 SPA 2
>SWE 1 UKR 0
>ENG 1 GER 2
>NED 2 CZE 0
>WAL 0 DEN 1
2741401, I'd be shocked if at least 1 of those doesn't go to PKs
Posted by benny, Fri Jun-25-21 10:09 AM
especially SWE-UKR
2741404, good point. I kinda wonder about ENG/GER as well
Posted by dillinjah, Fri Jun-25-21 10:39 AM
>especially SWE-UKR

I can easily envision England losing that way
2741406, I can envision England losing in all sorts of ways.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jun-25-21 10:47 AM
>I can easily envision England losing that way

Own goal...German winner in the 95th minute...red card/down to ten men...Pickford howler...
2741407, *rubs crystal ball* I'm picturing Harry Maguire with his hands on his head
Posted by benny, Fri Jun-25-21 10:52 AM
after thumping in an OG at the 89th
2741408, Likely, especially if he had plenty of time and was under no pressure.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jun-25-21 11:08 AM
2741412, oooh Pickford howler
Posted by smutsboy, Fri Jun-25-21 12:15 PM
sign me up for that one. He's probably mad that Dubravka stole his shine in the group stages.
2741429, As an aside, it's pretty crazy how lopsided this bracket turned out
Posted by dillinjah, Fri Jun-25-21 02:32 PM
If England beats Germany, anything less than them making the final is a bitter disappointment. So I guess I want to see them beat Germany and then lose a game they should win (preferably against Holland).

Meanwhile I really have no idea which of France, Belgium and Italy makes the finals out of the other side.
2741430, It really is, but it worked out for France in 2018 so I won't complain
Posted by benny, Fri Jun-25-21 02:34 PM
2741451, not sure either ENG or GER "should" beat Holland
Posted by cgonz00cc, Fri Jun-25-21 09:14 PM
3atb with was a curious choice to me but they look really solid.

Its a little bittersweet watching Dumfries and Malen play their way out of PSV. With them they are good enough to get thru CL qualifying, without them its gonna be tough.
2741469, Wales need another plan.
Posted by Buck, Sat Jun-26-21 11:54 AM
I don't know what plan that is, except be generally better at football.
2741502, they are poor
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Jun-26-21 12:07 PM
2741508, Telemann is ruining this tournament for me. Is unbelievable
Posted by calminvasion, Sat Jun-26-21 01:41 PM
And ESPN keeps squeezing him in everywhere. Wtf
2741509, This is a bit like watching a cat torture a mouse before killing it.
Posted by Buck, Sat Jun-26-21 02:27 PM
2741511, maybe. but it might also go to penalties.
Posted by dillinjah, Sat Jun-26-21 02:48 PM
2741513, They've figured something out in this half.
Posted by Buck, Sat Jun-26-21 03:19 PM
2741515, 🤬
Posted by dillinjah, Sat Jun-26-21 04:03 PM
2741516, Cruel.
Posted by Buck, Sat Jun-26-21 04:05 PM
2741588, Hey ESPN we don’t need an extra row about NED playing w/ 10 men
Posted by benny, Sun Jun-27-21 12:19 PM
Just leave a small red thingy over the NED side of the score and KIM
2741589, ITV hasn't even bothered with the red thingy.
Posted by Buck, Sun Jun-27-21 12:29 PM
In England, you're just expected to know.
2741590, See I respect that
Posted by benny, Sun Jun-27-21 12:34 PM
It’s 2021, we all follow with Twitter and various apps anyway. Meanwhile ESPN still thinks the respective FIFA rankings is a meaningful graphic
2741591, CZE about to fuck up a whole lot of brackets if they hold on
Posted by benny, Sun Jun-27-21 12:37 PM
2741593, Belgium is the slight favorite
Posted by allStah, Sun Jun-27-21 01:37 PM
at 1.5 to 1, and Portugal is 2 to 1.

It might go to penalties, but I’m hoping Belgium is the better side. They have
more prolific players.

I’ll go 3-1 Belgium. Lukaku is in beast mode, and is possibly the best striker
in the world.
2741598, T hazard with a vicious strike from distance.
Posted by allStah, Sun Jun-27-21 02:54 PM
Too much hazard, hazard, Lukaku and KDB.

There will be more goals.

Portugal playing scared as hell...Now they have to go forward, and not
rely on the counter.
2741601, Damn KDB might be done for the rest of the Tourney.
Posted by allStah, Sun Jun-27-21 03:28 PM
Good lord. Hope it’s not that serious.
2741602, Now Hazard just injured his hamstring
Posted by allStah, Sun Jun-27-21 03:49 PM
And he is out of the game...this is nuts.

No Hazard or KDB, and if they make out of this game

Will they be available against Italy?
2741603, Portugal have been horrible today
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sun Jun-27-21 03:54 PM
missing something between Renato and Ronaldo to drive the car in the front third
2741623, some good attacks in the 2nd half
Posted by smutsboy, Sun Jun-27-21 07:50 PM
but they were never going to hang with belgium, with or without KDB
2741692, last 20' were fantastic, pure end-to-end stuff
Posted by benny, Mon Jun-28-21 12:18 PM
I still think that Belgian defense is gonna get caught out at some point, but they've held down the fort better than I expected
2741698, Was hoping Croatia had a little more in them.
Posted by Buck, Mon Jun-28-21 12:41 PM
But I hold out hope for the Swiss.
2741699, ahem

2741700, spoke too damn soon
Posted by thejerseytornado, Mon Jun-28-21 12:51 PM
spain believed in themselves too much thinking they should have been up 3-0. uggh.

at worst, a good learning lesson for a really young team but jfc, they had this game completely dominated for 75 minutes.

-----------
you think we playing chess, but i'm playing mad-making. Basaglia
2741702, I didn’t think they had that comeback in them
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jun-28-21 12:55 PM
2741703, Yeah, I'd left them for dead.
Posted by Buck, Mon Jun-28-21 12:57 PM
2741729, score aside this is dreadful stuff after the earlier game
Posted by benny, Mon Jun-28-21 02:23 PM
France with no clue, Swiss doing the small team thing = boooooring
2741746, Lloris saved a penalty? wtf
Posted by dillinjah, Mon Jun-28-21 03:13 PM
2741745, Good lord. How did the ref not call that straight away?
Posted by Buck, Mon Jun-28-21 03:12 PM
2741748, amazing how that ended up helping france wake up
Posted by thejerseytornado, Mon Jun-28-21 03:16 PM

2741756, POGBOOM. France got too much sauce

Should be 4-3 Swiss actually. They missed a penalty.
2741759, WTF am I watching?
Posted by allStah, Mon Jun-28-21 03:49 PM
Kante looks spent. The Swiss have been ripping straight through the midfield.

And Pogba is all offense.
2741760, Lord that pogba giveaway into a goal is so on brand
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jun-28-21 03:49 PM
2741762, Karma said "I'll see your Whoa and raise you one."

I mean, Karma is undefeated when you party a little too hard before the game is final no matter the sport.
2741763, I woke up today, looked at the fixtures, and thought, "eh...not that exciting."
Posted by Buck, Mon Jun-28-21 04:33 PM
I have to question my judgement about everything now.
2741782, lol same

Yes!

England step up...and Belgium. My bracket is looking glorious.
2741766, insane that it ended on mbappe getting stopped on the final penalty kick
Posted by thejerseytornado, Mon Jun-28-21 04:46 PM
What a set of games!!!!

you think we playing chess, but i'm playing mad-making. Basaglia
2741770, Boy what an awful day for Mbappe
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jun-28-21 04:47 PM
probably one of the worst performances i've seen him have then to cap it off w/ that pen
2741783, Real bad
Posted by smutsboy, Mon Jun-28-21 06:57 PM
2741772, this is all on DD
Posted by benny, Mon Jun-28-21 04:57 PM
the pressure to bring in Zidane before Qatar is gonna be deafening
2741789, And that's going to change- what, exactly?
Posted by magilla vanilla, Mon Jun-28-21 08:00 PM
You're replacing one pragmatic manager with another, only this one holds grudges?
2741822, I'm just relaying the buzz
Posted by benny, Tue Jun-29-21 07:44 AM
personally I think it's too close to the WC for a change
2741773, Well that sucks. Pogbs was so majestically epic today
Posted by calminvasion, Mon Jun-28-21 05:07 PM
All tournament really, too bad getting turnover there led to that goal. Really good tackle.

But he was the best player for France all tournament long. So good

Embappe man, just underwhelmed all tournament really in terms of end product. Didn’t really feel he was going to put it away.

Nov 2022 isn’t very far away. Wonder if Loris gets replaced by then. Anyone coming up behind him?
2741775, if Maignan does well at Milan I expect he'll have a good case
Posted by benny, Mon Jun-28-21 05:16 PM

>Nov 2022 isn’t very far away. Wonder if Loris gets replaced

2741815, Benzema's first touch on that first goal....magical.
Posted by Castro, Mon Jun-28-21 11:29 PM
2741817, SUI Xhaka is a joy to watch
Posted by cgonz00cc, Mon Jun-28-21 11:53 PM
Arsenal wants him to be something other than what he is, while his country builds their team around who he is
2741825, at times I almost forgot it was the same player as the Arsenal one
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Jun-29-21 08:25 AM
Xhaka in the PL is like a human blooper reel.
2741833, Agreed, which is why it’s time to go
Posted by dillinjah, Tue Jun-29-21 09:35 AM
>Arsenal wants him to be something other than what he is,
>while his country b uilds their team around who he is

The system he needs doesn’t exist in the premier league, that is for sure. Arsenal have been foolish for persisting with him, but of course they’ve had & continue to have bigger problems than him, if that makes sense

SerieA, maybe even la liga is what he’s best suited for. It actually would be interesting to see him play for Jose at Roma
2741832, all the focus on Mbappe missing as the story is kinda hilarious
Posted by benny, Tue Jun-29-21 09:22 AM
literally all the French ppl I was texting with during the game were in agreement he was gonna miss his pen, as soon as ET ended. Most of us thought he'd try something silly, like an Aguero-style Panenka

Anyway, we lost because Deschamps panicked before the game, the team was over-confident, Griezman was subbed for Sissoko, and Coman lacked a few inches on his shot. Mbappe playing average (he was involved in the first two goals) is definitely not what led us to lose a 2 goal lead with 9mins left. I just hope he stays strong mentally this summer cos he's gonna get hit with a tsunami of takes
2741835, Yeah, I mean...what is France doing going to pens with Switzerland?
Posted by Buck, Tue Jun-29-21 09:48 AM
They already hadn't done what they were supposed to do.

And it wasn't THAT bad a penalty, really. Wasn't like he blazed it over the bar. He played it too safe and the keeper guessed right. Not what the best attacker in the world should be doing, but he didn't humiliate himself.
2741836, that's quite a cape you've got there.
Posted by PROMO, Tue Jun-29-21 09:52 AM
2741837, Mbappe is a top 5 player in the world
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Jun-29-21 09:55 AM
anyone who puts too much weight on an international tournament, or blames him for giving up a 3-1 lead to Switzerland, needs to reevaluate their life choices

But hey, if some French fans want to run him out of the country, LFC is ready and waiting.
2741839, Saka in again over Sancho
Posted by dillinjah, Tue Jun-29-21 10:18 AM
Again, I’m happy for saka, but c’mon
2741841, Southgate hold-my-beer'ing what Deschamps started yesterday
Posted by benny, Tue Jun-29-21 10:33 AM
over-cautious to the point of parody
2741844, Southgate trotted out a lineup that smells like 3-1 Germany.
Posted by PROMO, Tue Jun-29-21 10:58 AM
WTF.
2741845, Win or lose southgate is an embarrassment for this lineup
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Tue Jun-29-21 11:08 AM
5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders. Absolute pussy
2741847, Maybe Shaw will score three and it's a genius lineup.
Posted by Buck, Tue Jun-29-21 11:17 AM
That's not what I really think.
2741850, England's bench was maybe better than its XI
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Jun-29-21 12:04 PM
XI
Pickford, walker, stones, maguire, trippier, phillips, rice, shaw, saka, kane, sterling

Bench
Calvert lewin, rashford, sancho, foden, mount, james, bellingham, j henserson, mings, coady, d henderson
2741863, Here's the crazy part: DCL wasn't even on the bench today.
Posted by magilla vanilla, Tue Jun-29-21 12:40 PM
2741846, England has the better bench players.
Posted by allStah, Tue Jun-29-21 11:13 AM
And with Havertz and Werner up front for Germany,
that’s not anything to really fear.

I think the strategy is to let Germany expend a lot of energy in the first half,
and then hit them with super subs in the second half ...and bomb away.

“their finest hour”...

2741848, these Germany kits are dope
Posted by benny, Tue Jun-29-21 11:38 AM
Adidas keeps showing Nike how it's done, whose designers are presumably busy as we speak adding more items to the Portugal shirt
2741851, neither of these teams is particularly elite

2741852, Kane is the least dynamic player on the pitch.
Posted by Buck, Tue Jun-29-21 12:10 PM
I don't wish him ill, but move, man, move.
2741853, And I'm gonna need Raheem to look for the pass now and again.

also should be noted hell of a strong wrist by Pickford on that that Havertz shot. Pickford was very good.

Posted by allStah, Thu Jul-01-21 09:34 AM

to play? I thought Greenwood had the right wing position locked
down?

2742071, Martial will be the odd man out
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Thu Jul-01-21 09:58 AM
Sancho and Rashford will play everywhere likely in the style of Sancho and Reus.
Greenwood will split time at RW but now it’s time for him to study under Cavani. Ole always said striker would be his end position but he would begin on the wings

Rashford can actually get some games off now and hopefully get the foot surgery he needs

Next we move for Varane and a CDM
2742083, quite a fall from grace for Martial since 19/20

You just can’t ever count on him to come in and give his all though. Think a change of scenery and bursting his bubble a bit is the only chance he has to fulfill his talent to what everyone thinks it can be.
2742112, agreed. always want him to do well, but...
Posted by PROMO, Thu Jul-01-21 01:57 PM
he needs some kind of kick in the butt it seems like. change of scenery probably needed.
2742086, Ramos to PSG is apparently in the works.
Posted by Buck, Thu Jul-01-21 12:11 PM
Don't really care, but it seems newsworthy.
2742088, French media is saying it's done
Posted by benny, Thu Jul-01-21 12:17 PM
apparently he was offered more money from an English club but prefers Paris. Shorter flights back home?

In more important news Mbappe has apparently told PSG he won't sign a contract extension. Fuuuuuu
2742089, Could be all kinds of psychological reasons for that.
Posted by Buck, Thu Jul-01-21 12:24 PM
>In more important news Mbappe has apparently told PSG he won't
>sign a contract extension. Fuuuuuu

Or...somebody on the Guardian podcast made the point that he's pretty much always the best player on the pitch in any given match...no offense to Ligue 1, but there might be some benefit to his development to move somewhere else.
2742106, I'm not mad a him whatever he does, just realizing that Neymar is our future
Posted by benny, Thu Jul-01-21 01:27 PM
and it's a grim outcome

Still, pretty decent mercato so far, with Hakimi and Ramos we've strengthened our thinnest part of the lineup. The Donnaruma signing is still silly to me, but it's not my money so whatever
2742122, Keylor navas gets no respect
Posted by dillinjah, Thu Jul-01-21 03:59 PM
>The
>Donnaruma signing is still silly to me, but it's not my money
>so whatever

It’s old news, but was courtois really an upgrade? I guess he’s about to go through the same thing again with PSG
2742123, Yes. Courtois
Posted by allStah, Thu Jul-01-21 04:51 PM
Thibaut Courtois has been named the third-best goalkeeper of the decade by the reputable International Federation for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). Here's the

And second best in la liga to Oblak.
2742171, the same place that ranked Navas 5th?
Posted by thejerseytornado, Fri Jul-02-21 07:45 AM
No respect for Navas. absolutely top class, no need to sign a new guy level dominance. Donnarumma, one could argue, is coming in as Navas is ageing out, but still no respect

yet Real spent the most ever in la liga on a goalkeeper the season after Navas was absolutely dominant and saved that season for real with some of his CL performances after being goalkeeper for 3 straight CL trophies. But somehow real madrid needed a better GK.

it makes how barca treated Claudio Bravo looked like loving kindness and barca did him kinda dirty too.

-----------
you think we playing chess, but i'm playing mad-making. Basaglia
2742176, I agree. Navas isn’t respected.
Posted by allStah, Fri Jul-02-21 08:52 AM
I like Navas, and he is a great GK. However, the poster was taking a knock at
Courtois while speaking in support of Navas. You don’t have to put down
one player in order to support or celebrate another player.

I said nothing negative about Navas while making a statement about
Courtois’ great ability.

P.S : Forever Fock Barca and what they do...
2742321, no he didnt.
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sun Jul-04-21 03:23 AM
he asked if it was really necessary to spend the money for a whole other ice cream cone, just to have the same thing they already have, except with sprinkles.
2742177, I wonder if it has anything to do with his being Costa Rican.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 08:56 AM
Or put another way, not being European or Brazilian/Argentinian.
2742154, Go to Citeh, Kylian.
Posted by magilla vanilla, Thu Jul-01-21 09:58 PM
2742178, it's Real or bust from what I've read
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 09:04 AM
2742295, I'd be shocked if it was anything else.
Posted by smutsboy, Sat Jul-03-21 10:28 AM
2742175, Only 50% in my round of 16 predictions. Trying again.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 08:48 AM
SWI 0 SPA 2
BEL 2 ITA 3
CZE 0 DEN 1
UKR 1 ENG 2

Not feeling real good about that BEL/ITA prognosis though.
2742208, 1': "whatever happens I hope the winning goal won't come from a mistake"
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 11:08 AM
8': Spain score off a deflected shot
2742212, I don't want to give up hope yet.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 11:24 AM
Then again, as I type this, Embolo has to come off injured.
2742211, no Xhaka, now no Embolo
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 11:23 AM
this might be it for the Swiss. Getting mad at Deschamps all over again
2742215, Well, they're limiting Spain's chances.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 11:47 AM
Or maybe Spain isn't all that interested in creating chances. Hard to say which.

But they're still in it. Just need one good counter.
2742221, Spain so passive they got me rooting for the dang Swiss
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 12:24 PM
2742226, Well, the spikes were pretty high.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 12:36 PM
Still kind of a harsh red.
2742235, lolbusquetslol
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 01:35 PM
2742236, awful pens so far
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 01:39 PM
no one wants this?
2742237, You ain't kidding.
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 01:40 PM
2742239, Swiss with one of the worst PK sessions I've seen
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 01:43 PM
still let's not forget Sergio's opening masterpiece, may it get the youtube/Tiktok tributes it deserves
2742242, As Vargas sent it skyward, I thought, "Shaquiri would have buried that."
Posted by Buck, Fri Jul-02-21 01:50 PM
Oh well. If that's the best Spain can do, this is as far as they're going.
2742240, we better get a 3-2 thriller from BEL-ITA to wash off the taste of this one
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 01:45 PM
2742246, cmon belgium. I really don't want to see an Italy/Spain Semi
Posted by dillinjah, Fri Jul-02-21 02:02 PM
2742250, ugh, this belgian back line is not gonna work, is it?
Posted by dillinjah, Fri Jul-02-21 02:32 PM
2742251, I'm usually anti-Italy but I have no idea how you can dislike this team
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 02:54 PM
2742264, it is a fun team to watch. I just don't like seeing italians winning
Posted by dillinjah, Fri Jul-02-21 03:25 PM
As an aside, I guess I do need to start watching Serie A
2742266, KDB was so trash today. Straight garbage
Posted by calminvasion, Fri Jul-02-21 03:53 PM
Props to Italy, but damn
2742297, turns out he was playing with torn ankle ligaments
Posted by smutsboy, Sat Jul-03-21 10:34 AM
eeeesh. After seeing the injury originally, I couldn't believe he played in this game.

I know these guys are super competitive and have immense pressure on them to play, but damn, that is so bad for your long term career and long term health.
2742267, Jon Champion is so tedious
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 03:59 PM
IT'S AN ITALIAN RENAISSANCE bla bla

Dude spent half the time talking about his being the last change for the Belgian golden generation. Can we focus on the game happening right this second, leave the tired narrative for the in-studio panels?
2742270, That way he was talking they (Belgians) had won 2 WCs
Posted by calminvasion, Fri Jul-02-21 04:05 PM
And were defending euro champs. That FIFA ranking was doing a lot of lifting in that narrative
2742274, for sure, even though only children and ESPN care about FIFA rankings
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 05:10 PM
> That FIFA ranking was doing
>a lot of lifting in that narrative
2742277, Peru/Paraguay has been fun! 3-3 ten men on both sides
Posted by calminvasion, Fri Jul-02-21 05:56 PM
Love skipping the extra time and going to PKs

2742278, my Brazilian buddy hopes they'll lose tonight
Posted by benny, Fri Jul-02-21 06:03 PM
so the players can just go back to their teams (the Brazilian league hasn't been interrupted during the Copa :O ). Kind of a dumpster fire of a competition overall but I guess I might tune into the final if it looks promising
2742279, I was passively watching, but this one pulled me in
Posted by calminvasion, Fri Jul-02-21 06:16 PM
Paraguay dominated after being down 10 men since the 40th minutes; only to have a terrible PKs

Alexis Sanchez is playing tonight maybe he'll have a flashback to past copas and make it a game tonight vs. Brazil
2742283, That was…quite a red by Jesus just now
Posted by dillinjah, Fri Jul-02-21 08:09 PM
2742296, Italy was not fucking around.
Posted by smutsboy, Sat Jul-03-21 10:29 AM
2742300, Danes are pretty good.
Posted by Buck, Sat Jul-03-21 12:31 PM
Kind of team England (or Ukraine) should be a bit scared of.

Then again, Czechs ain't done yet...
2742301, Yup.
Posted by smutsboy, Sat Jul-03-21 01:17 PM
They’re as good as anything England has shown so far.
2742302, shitttt
Posted by allStah, Sat Jul-03-21 01:38 PM
Ukraine is a +700 underdog. That’s some good value considering their upset
of Sweden, and England has a history of choking.

100 wins you 700...

England could very well dominate...but it’s worth throwing some change at a it.

The irony? I like England and want them to win. ..lol

2742303, Well, England better, but don't look invincible.
Posted by Buck, Sat Jul-03-21 02:53 PM
When they can actually get the ball through the midfield, they look dangerous. But Ukraine's getting real close...
2742304, England is dominating.
Posted by allStah, Sat Jul-03-21 03:06 PM
Harry and Harry
2742305, slabhead out here
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Jul-03-21 03:08 PM
2742306, JACK GREALISH COULD NEVER
Posted by allStah, Sat Jul-03-21 03:11 PM
Look at how England flows with Mount orchestrating and pushing forward..

2742309, Cute. Mase handled the lightest of light work in the tournament.
Posted by magilla vanilla, Sat Jul-03-21 05:43 PM
2742307, How on earth did Ukraine make it this far
Posted by smutsboy, Sat Jul-03-21 03:14 PM
They’re horrible.
2742310, Four-nil, even Hendo scored.
Posted by magilla vanilla, Sat Jul-03-21 05:44 PM
2742308, England stomping these boys out
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Sat Jul-03-21 03:22 PM
its coming home
2742313, Ospiiiiinnnnnnnna!!
Posted by calminvasion, Sat Jul-03-21 09:07 PM
Good for him. Not sure why he was hated at arsenal, thought he was pretty decent for us all things considered
2742320, he was a good backup for Napoli this year
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sun Jul-04-21 01:10 AM
ended up playing a lot of games
2742331, This month has been a real testament to Atalanta's intl scouting
Posted by cgonz00cc, Sun Jul-04-21 12:51 PM
Zapata and Muriel for Colombia, Joakim Maehle for DEN, Remo Freuler for SUI, Robin Gosens (one of my favorite players in the world. lot of dawg in that one), Matteo Pessina (filled in really nicely for ITA last week), Rafael Toloi (naturalized Italian from Brazil), Christian Romero, Papu Gomez playing in his first major tournament in his 30s, Marten de Roon

im even gonna count Timothy Castagne

pretty remarkable stuff going on there. they are either going back to CL or to the deposit window at the bank with a fat sack of Euros.
2742433, Do we need a new post for the semis and finals?
Posted by Buck, Tue Jul-06-21 01:34 PM
I can't think of any clever puns, or I'd make one.
2742439, Press on with this one then.
Posted by Buck, Tue Jul-06-21 02:39 PM
These are two really good teams working hard. Heavyweights going at it.
