1. Gafford is benefiting from the attention Westbrook and Beal draw. Plus Westbrook is a playmaking point guard.

2. Gafford said in an interview that he was kinda distraught by the trade, and he realized he wasn't coming to games prepared. He'd have one good game followed up by two bad ones. The trade kinda woke him up and he's now more focused on what he needs to do. Essentially a new environment helped this kid.

I'm happy dude is playing well because he's talented, but I'm not losing sleep the Bulls sent out a backup center and got us more wing help.
