2735816, Good. It made me nervous as hell every time he was out on the field

I did not want to see that leg get hurt again.
2735817, The 2011 team was my favorite Niners squad of the 21st century

And Smith's pass to Vernon Davis is the best Niners moment of the 21st century. And the 28-yard TD run that same game isn't far behind.

I REALLY wish that squad had won the SB.

I bought OldPro's tickets off him the second the date was announced and he could not go. One of my best days ever. Might have had more fun at that game then the NFC championship in Atlanta the next year. It pained me watching him play for the Skins knowing his career would end in DC for that miserable franchise.

That loss to giants in the nfc championship game hurt.

A few plays go differently and they are back to back champions.

Still the maddest I've been after a game, much more than the Super Bowl the following year. We HAD the smurfs offense completely shut down, they couldn't stop Gore, and the Pats wouldn't have stood a chance in the SB.

2735818, Probably ends up in the booth. He did something dangerous

and brave.

glad he made it through.
2735898, I could see that or a coach somewhere

The way Pat credits his success to Alex, makes me think he would be a great QB coach.

Saw his first td pass of his career live at the stick. Vs hou on a miserable, rainy hungover new years day. Had a dj gig the night before. Stadium half full (or empty?) pass to brandon lloyd. Niners won in ot. Will always remember the ushers letting us sit at the 50 yd line field level because nobody was there. I think the game was dubbed “reggie bush bowl” or something. Niners won and dropped in the draft, picked vernon I think.

Got shitted on heavily for being on awful teams, got to show his worth and ability to help teams win. Always seemed to be a solid guy, I wish him well.
