I never understood the Beilein to Indiana rumors (maybe that was just Michigan circles talking about that.) Beilein is a program builder type that would take some time, not a quick turnaround hire. And at his age, how much time would he really have? Indiana's base is going to want some quick results. Along with that, he's worked best with mid-level recruits that he was able to coach up (which is why the NBA never made sense to me for him), which means he wouldn't likely have taken full advantage of the Indiana brand in recruiting.
