2733209, Definitely that one....

2733190, Umm.... Did he travel when he got the ball?
Posted by RandomFact, Sat Mar-06-21 03:36 PM
never noticed that before. it looks close. or maybe it's my shitty internet connection.
2733191, he did get a lil running start
Posted by ThaTruth, Sat Mar-06-21 03:39 PM
2733197, Lol...he definitely got a generous, first couple of steps
Posted by Dstl1, Sat Mar-06-21 04:17 PM
.
2733211, He palmed the ball there for a second
Posted by obsidianchrysalis, Sun Mar-07-21 12:50 AM
But they haven't called that as travelling since the early Aughts.
2733217, I feel like a lesser player in a lesser situation may have been called
Posted by ThaTruth, Sun Mar-07-21 09:17 AM
2733294, that was pretty quick and he did it going backwards (away from the rim
Posted by Cenario, Mon Mar-08-21 01:59 PM
and not attacking) Refs would never call that in a normal situation. I watched it a few times, cant even determine if it was a travel.
2733285, It's truly jarring to see clips with fans packed in the stands now.
Posted by Brew, Mon Mar-08-21 11:09 AM
2733289, "jarring"? I guess you don't watch a lot of sports clips or are just...
Posted by ThaTruth, Mon Mar-08-21 12:31 PM
being dramatic?
2733301, ...we're in the middle of a year long global pandemic.

packed crowds, for most of us who aren't MAGA, are currently a thing of the past.

Unless you're trolling or just straight up obtuse, it's not at all hard to grasp how or why someone would see packed crowds as "jarring" after a year of this shit.

I guess its perspective, f you haven't watched any sports clips more than a year old in the past year I guess it could be jarring. I watch a lot of sports clips every day so seeing near empty stands at current events is more jarring.

2733310, Yea I don't often watch old sports clips these days ...

... so that's exactly it. If you spend a lot of time watching sports clips then it stands to reason why you wouldn't see it the same way. Only sports I've seen have been in empty NBA or NCAA basketball stadiums and 7,000-fans-or-less NFL stadiums, basically.

So seeing that clip, probably one of probably 3 old clips I've seen since like last summer, is jarring and makes me feel sort of claustrophobic for the players lol. Feels like the fans are right on top of them, and eachother. And that's in addition to the "holy shit remember when we could be that close to eachother" thing haha.

2733295, lol i feel the same way. it seems so crowded and weird.

2733303, Right?

2733305, hell, yeah...
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Mar-08-21 04:12 PM
the last live sporting event I went to was OKC/Golden State, in 2019. I remember meeting up with some folks at halftime...the stadium was fuckin packed, we were laughing and dapping up in the midst of shoulder to shoulder human beings. Shit will never happen quite like that, again.
2733306, Feels this way watching old shows or movies too
Posted by Amritsar, Mon Mar-08-21 04:34 PM
2733326, i love it. i watch a lot of announcer-less soccer highlights
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Mar-08-21 09:11 PM
just to remember what it was like.
2733292, Do the Sixers beat the Bucks? Do either beat the Warriors?
Posted by Ryan M, Mon Mar-08-21 01:18 PM
Obviously the butterfly effect is real but wonder what would have happened had that not gone down
2733300, Do KD and Klay get injured?
Posted by ThaTruth, Mon Mar-08-21 02:09 PM
2733319, I mean, that's an entirely different discussion but
Posted by Ryan M, Mon Mar-08-21 07:36 PM
KD didn't play until the Finals, so who knows

Klay got injured on sort of a freak play in Game 6 so probably not
2733325, I know but that’s part of it
