^^ you nailed it at the end there. But you ruined it with the beginning of the paragraph lol. It's *not* funny to put Tom's accomplishments in the same conversation as Jordan's, it's appropriate. But to say one is "better" is impossible and not necessary. Because like you rightly pointed out in the end of that paragraph, the sports are completely different.

Point being: whether you like it or not, Brady is now in that rarified air of just all time winners in all of sports (frankly, he was there before last nite but last nite *really* solidified it beyond any shadow of reasonable doubt whatsoever). Whichever athlete is better than the others overall is really just nonsense and impossible to parse out. Jordan. Tiger. Serena. Bill Russell. Brady. I'm probably missing some but you get the idea. He's in that conversation and there's really no possible way to argue otherwise without sounding like a total hater.

Re: the camera shit, I couldn't disagree more. That bullshit is part of Bill's legacy. It's included in Tom's story but he had nothing to do with that.

You can say that the deflated balls are part of his legacy but again, last nite's win, more any other (even though he's got 4 rings since either scandal happened) proves that none of that really mattered anyway. You can add it into the conversation if you want, but he wins no matter what.
