I thought this hire was a head scratcher. He became a laughing stock in Miami due to his tough guy press conferences. This was highlighted during his introductory press conference in Detroit. But have you seen the coaching staff he is assembling?
Duce Staley, running backs coach/assistant head coach
Anthony Lynn, offensive coordinator
Aaron Glenn, defensive coordinator
Aubrey Pleasant, defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator
If he fails, you know who is going to catch the heat.

There's a lane for figurehead coaches that know how to find and support good assistants.
Spread that love around and the best assistants will line up for the opportunity to make him look good.

there are qualified minority coordinators and position coaches across the league. another successful white HC is not going to elevate them. and they would be first to be blamed anyway, if Campbell does poorly.
