2729661, CFB National Championship - Alabama vs THE Ohio State University
Posted by ThaTruth, Mon Jan-11-21 07:54 PM
looking at Bama’s entire starting secondary being from the Miami-Ft Lauderdale area and wondering what happened to the Canes...

I wonder how much Fields will be affected by his injury, OSU missing a few key players due to Covid...

I think Bama wins easily...

2729663, Never underestimate OSU, I got OSU winning this game
Posted by calij81, Mon Jan-11-21 08:12 PM
2729664, fields needs to win this with his feet
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jan-11-21 08:17 PM
running, throwing on the move. take over.

he's the xfactor.

otherwise bama will roll. nobody has stopped them all year.
2729665, welp bama already broke sermon. fields or bust.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jan-11-21 08:20 PM
2729666, BOB...will be new Bama OC

2729668, Starting to look like whomever has the ball last.
Posted by tariqhu, Mon Jan-11-21 08:48 PM
Don’t see too many stops from either defense.
2729669, Well, that’s a wrap. They can’t win this game without
Posted by allStah, Mon Jan-11-21 09:07 PM
Trey Sermon. Talk about a huge focking loss. Wow. It seems like every
year OSU loses a big time player for a game. JK dobbins focked up his ankle
last year and wade got ejected.

Master Teague can’t make up for that speed and elusiveness. Too slow.
2729670, master teague is ballin. 2 tds so far.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jan-11-21 09:09 PM
2729672, Thats because of the short field position.
Posted by allStah, Mon Jan-11-21 09:23 PM
OSU gets a fumble to get them in the red zone.

Teague doesn’t make the offense dynamic or catch out
off the flat like Trey. He is more of powerback in the red zone.

As far as speed, and putting pressure on the defense and being electric on
every down... this is where they are going miss sermon for the entirety of the game.

Maybe Teague can make up for it ...we shall see how the whole game go.

But trey sermon is a one man offense....hell he is the main reason why they are there. Close to 600 yards in two games!
2729671, najee and devonta are too pro lol

Posted by tariqhu, Mon Jan-11-21 09:32 PM
Need him in the game.
2729675, shaun wade is getting firebombed tonight
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jan-11-21 09:40 PM
Devonta Smith is throwing haymakers at dude draft stock.
2729676, If this is Sark on the call...he is blowing their minds with Smith...
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Jan-11-21 09:41 PM
this dude is all over the fucking place. It looks like there's two or three of him.
2729678, CROWN HIS ASS!!!!
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Jan-11-21 09:47 PM
.
2729679, ive seen most of bama games this season. a lot of tonight is all new
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jan-11-21 09:49 PM
sark is showing off rn for texas
2729677, See Sermon would not have dropped that screen pass.
Posted by allStah, Mon Jan-11-21 09:45 PM
This shit could get ugly....because they have to score on every possession.

OSU’s Offense is too predictable now. They are going to sit on Olave.

I don’t even want to watch this shit without Sermon playing.
2729682, teague has no receiving skills whatsoever
Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Jan-11-21 09:56 PM
2729680, Now they lose their best OL?
Posted by allStah, Mon Jan-11-21 09:55 PM
Damn it.
2729681, would've liked to have seen osu at full strength
Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Jan-11-21 09:55 PM
this is too much to ask with the roster they got out there

i won't miss watching borland get torched by damn near anyone he gets matched up with
2729683, Texas is already on to the next coach? Sheesh
Posted by falafel stand pimpin, Mon Jan-11-21 09:59 PM
2729684, najee is just not human

2729685, what a collision
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Jan-11-21 10:40 PM

2729688, Glad I was wrong about this being a shootout

2729690, Still got 14 minutes left.. smh.
Posted by legsdiamond, Mon Jan-11-21 11:14 PM
2729691, Saban > Bryant
Posted by DeepAztheRoot, Mon Jan-11-21 11:38 PM
I wonder if any old-time Bama fan even argues the point anymore? Segregation probably cost Bear a few wins though.
2729694, All these years later, the dynasty continues. 6 in 12 years
Posted by yoose2lurk, Mon Jan-11-21 11:47 PM
Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t. Roll Tide. Greatest college football program and dynasty of all time.
2729696, Props to Alabama...
Posted by CyrenYoung, Mon Jan-11-21 11:53 PM
..Buckeyes didn't have an adjustment/answer for that offensive attack.

*skatin' the rings of saturn*

..and miles to go before i sleep...
2729697, congrats bama
Posted by 3xKrazy, Mon Jan-11-21 11:59 PM
even with the absences on defense this team looked woefully unprepared

didn't like the Coonbs hire as DC when it happened and my opinions on that have been solidified. wish we could trade him to ND for freeman. why were they playing 4 linebackers all night???

shaun wade lost a shit load of money by coming back.
2729698, RE: congrats bama
Posted by yoose2lurk, Tue Jan-12-21 12:08 AM
Thanks. Congratulations on getting revenge on Clemson and sticking it to Dabo. I thoroughly enjoyed it. See y’all next time.
2729699, Don’t congratulate them. You hear their arrogant speech?
Posted by allStah, Tue Jan-12-21 12:35 AM
Anyway, losing Trey Sermon to a broken collarbone, losing an all American OL, hit with Covid cases, and Justin Fields clearly wasn’t healthy, things weren’t evenly matched.

I’m just not the type to crazy celebrate and feel victorious if I don’t face something at full strength or at its best. It is what it is though.

2729700, What? Lol
Posted by tariqhu, Tue Jan-12-21 12:40 AM
They basically smashed most teams they played, including tonight. They don’t deserve a simple congratulations? They handled their business. Can’t take anything away because the other teams weren’t ready, for whatever reason.
2729702, Naw their arrogant asses don’t deserve to be congratulated.
Posted by allStah, Tue Jan-12-21 12:47 AM
And Fock the SEC and Nick Saban.

Stay safe and sleep well.
2729708, that's the good hate right there.
Posted by tariqhu, Tue Jan-12-21 08:19 AM
keep at it.

2729701, they won. it is what it is.
Posted by 3xKrazy, Tue Jan-12-21 12:41 AM
and no i didn't hear any speeches
2729706, lmao.. this makes no sense
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Jan-12-21 06:56 AM
Bama just beat yall down.

It happens.

2729755, Coombs got worked by Sark
Posted by will_5198, Wed Jan-13-21 12:42 AM
>didn't like the Coonbs hire as DC when it happened and my
>opinions on that have been solidified. wish we could trade him
>to ND for freeman. why were they playing 4 linebackers all
>night???
2729704, that was a thoro ass whooping, Saban is the GOAT
Posted by guru0509, Tue Jan-12-21 02:26 AM
soon as trey sermon got hurt i knew it was a wrap

fields wasnt fullly 100 (and Ive never been impressed with him btw...he doesnt have the arm that troy and braxton or cardale had, and he doesnt have the legs and wiggle that pryor and braxton had..he does alot of things just Ok...i feel sorry for whatever team takes him first round)

and we were just out muscled. they were better in every single facet of the game.

id rather lose to Bama than CLemson ANY DAY.

we're going to win the big 10 for the next 10 years anyway, so we will have plenty of chances...glad we got that SEC monkey off our back in 2015

some of those playcalls were suspect though but i have faith in Ryan Day for now...because hes recruiting his ass off.

this whole year felt hollow and fake without The Game ...even if was going to be a beatdown..i cant wait till things get back to normal..college football feels fake af without full stadiums of fans

Congrats yoose2lurk. glad youre around and doing well.

2729707, RE: that was a thoro ass whooping, Saban is the GOAT

>Congrats yoose2lurk. glad youre around and doing well.

Thanks man and same to you. It’s unfortunate you all weren’t at full strength. But like you said, y’all aren’t going anywhere.
2729715, I love Fields, he has a cannon for an arm, he's big and fast, I'd love...
Posted by ThaTruth, Tue Jan-12-21 11:32 AM
to see him land at the Hawks at 4, sit behind Matt Ryan for a year then take over
2729717, i wish i could see what guru is seeing
Posted by 3xKrazy, Tue Jan-12-21 12:37 PM
none of those other 4 osu qb's should even be mentioned in the same breath as fields and there's a reason why their NFL 'careers' were what they were. 2 of them needed a position switch when they got to the league.

which isn't to say that fields is an automatic lock to be an NFL great but he's in the draft position that he is because he's an elite prospect.

fields lost 2 games as a starter and both were to great teams in the playoffs. the other qb's on that list would not have left osu with the same record.

and if braxton had taken that hit last week that fields took, he would've left the field on a stretcher and would've traded football for stamp collecting as his new sport. fields coming back into that game and lighting up a great clemson team was the single greatest performance from an osu qb.
2729723, im just not as impressed
Posted by guru0509, Tue Jan-12-21 01:53 PM
sprays it when we need a laser..alot of those passes last night were behind receivers (who could have still made the catch, lots of dropsies)

but throws a laser when you just need a soft touch to get 6 points (as seen last night)

yea he had a great game vs Clemson.

>fields lost 2 games as a starter and both were to great teams
>in the playoffs. the other qb's on that list would not have
>left osu with the same record.

meh,

>and if braxton had taken that hit last week that fields took,
>he would've left the field on a stretcher and would've traded
>football for stamp collecting as his new sport. fields coming

braxton would have juked the shit out of him and thus avoiding the hit.

pryor would have stiff armed him into the ground.

>back into that game and lighting up a great clemson team was
>the single greatest performance from an osu qb.

he's not even better than craig krenzel
2729729, dude
Posted by 3xKrazy, Tue Jan-12-21 02:40 PM
>he's not even better than craig krenzel

this is obviously some sort of personal issue with fields you got going on here.

2729734, LOL
Posted by Ceej, Tue Jan-12-21 03:08 PM
Hes the only ohio quarterback I can I honestly say I dont hate. Probably because I will just identify him as a Bulldog. Dude is legit and I hope he has a great NFL career.
2729725, lol cannon? big?? fast? what?
Posted by guru0509, Tue Jan-12-21 01:54 PM
>to see him land at the Hawks at 4, sit behind Matt Ryan for a
>year then take over

Hawks fans would probably still prefer Jake Fromm
2729714, that was a pretty amazing game for 1.25 quarters
Posted by HecticHavoc, Tue Jan-12-21 10:53 AM
Bama is just unreal, not their best defensive team but i'd have to say this is the best offense in Bama history.

Harris + Smith is just a laughable combination. i was rooting for the Buckeyes but you just cant overcome those dudes
2729730, why did they even come back this year? take that shit to the NFL man!
Posted by 3xKrazy, Tue Jan-12-21 02:52 PM

>Harris + Smith

it sure would've been nice if OSU could've suited up their freak show juniors from last year - Chase, okudah, dobbins, etc.
2729766, from what I remember, neither graded well enough.
Posted by tariqhu, Wed Jan-13-21 01:00 PM
Smith was considered maybe 4th best on his own team last year. timing wasn't right.
