Saints are 100 yards and runnin already.

Is this week gonna be a parade of laydowns and/or injuries getting the best of some teams?

I’m in two small dfs contests with some friends every week. Only one dude had Kamara so he’s basically won both contests already.

And somehow, that was just UNDER what Tyreek got vs Tampa a few weeks back.

Availability is the best ability to have during the playoffs. As such, we should see Arians resting his starters for most of the 2nd half.

I don’t understand what the Dolphins are doing at QB but it has mostly worked out for them in terms of a winning record and probably a playoff spot.

Tua hasn’t looked great but he hasn’t looked terrible. Mostly playing like a game manager with a lot of check downs.

Posted by Dr Claw, Sat Dec-26-20 11:44 PM
Westbrooking it wasn't the smart move. Let him go in for 6 and make them beat you with 6 more in a minute. Instead, give them a field goal to win and just so happen to facemask the QB after he passes for big gain at the sideline.

BRUH. SMH.

Good for the Dolphins though. Flores was smart to put Tua away, Fitzmagic in crunch time.

LOL @ Brady bitch ass bolting from the AFC East and 2 AFC EAST teams getting 10 wins right after. SMH.

Browns gonna have to win out, down a gang of their offensive starters due to COVID contact tracing against the Jets.

Good thing it's the Jets, and Stefanski > McVay.
And also that the Steelers are complete ass, and Colts are playing for a playoff slot.

2728523, Raiders defense is terrible. They already fired their DC
Posted by calij81, Sat Dec-26-20 11:52 PM
But they might have to fire every defensive coach after this season. Also, Mayock and Gruden haven’t drafted very well at all but especially so on the defensive side of the ball.
2728538, Jags, Lions kicking the tires on Urb?

2728546, Should and better be a win for the Bears.
Posted by allStah, Sun Dec-27-20 12:41 PM
Jags are trying to keep their draft position...don’t care what the score is or how it looks. Just get the W.
2728550, I know it is just the Jags but Mitch has been playing better lately
Posted by calij81, Sun Dec-27-20 01:38 PM
What do you think is the difference for him?
2728552, No difference.
Posted by allStah, Sun Dec-27-20 01:53 PM
Mitch went 12-4 two years ago and threw for close to 4000 yards, so he knows how to pass and win.

So the bears went into last season with SB expectations, and when they played badly, plus Mahomes and Watson went on to have PO success ....the senseless hate on Trubisky started.

He got benched this year when he was undefeated which made no sense....that was on Nagy.

And Bill Lazor is now calling the plays so the play calling is better. ....Trubisky never really had a problem. Dude is still a very young QB. Let him grow. ...
2728553, Yeah that benching early in the season made no sense at all
Posted by calij81, Sun Dec-27-20 01:56 PM
Sure Mitch had some struggles but the team was still undefeated so I didn’t understand the panic to make a QB switch at that point in the season.

Posted by allStah, Sun Dec-27-20 04:28 PM
That call makes no sense to me.

Baker fumbles the ball backwards, ball never touches the ground. Hunt recovers the ball and gets the first down. Shouldn’t that be perceived as a lateral?
The ball never touched the ground so it is still in the air. How is that different from a handoff’?

“A fumbled ball may be recovered and advanced by either team (except, in American football, after the two-minute warning in either half or 4th down, when the fumbling player is the only offensive player allowed to advance the ball, otherwise the ball is ruled dead at the spot of recovery if the ball bounces backwards or spotted at the point of the fumble if the ball travels forward).”

Dumbest shit ever...rule changes with 2 mins left in the game.

But even with that the ball never hit the ground...so how is it even seen as a fumble.

2728573, The ball doesn’t have to hit the ground...
Posted by Dstl1, Sun Dec-27-20 06:30 PM
to be a fumble...the person who fumbles just has to lose possession.

2728656, Rams and Cardinals play each other right? GB plays Chicago

GB will probably be resting most of their starters and Chicago is playing well right now so I would say Chicago.
2728664, yep. the game winner is guaranteed in
Posted by HecticHavoc, Mon Dec-28-20 01:27 PM
Cardinals just dont look good. they are one of the best teams in the league in the 1st qtr and then completely crumble. has to be on Kliff, he sucks at clock management and is the most inept short yardage play caller in the league. its either Kyler masking Kliffs inefficiencies or Kyler doesnt execute well enough but things arent good here right now. There's probably a rift between them also.

Rams have historically owned us. will porbably remain that way. but Cardinals have a really good chance in this game I think.
2728657, my humble opinion...
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Dec-28-20 12:44 PM
I don't see Chicago beating Green Bay. I don't know shit about John Wolford, but I think the Rams defense and running game are good enough to beat the Cardinals, right now. Especially if Kyler is even a little gimpy. Your QB is already on the run, when Aaron Donald is in the building...if he's even remotely compromised...all bad.
2728704, hopefully the rams D will get them over.

And you know the confessions about how coaches and football folks didn’t want him in the first place are gonna flow right on out.

And yes, several of these powerhouse college football programs are horrible places in terms of grooming immature folks for a situation like the nfl where moving on from shaky humans and/or bad quarterbacks is hair trigger stuff now more than ever. It’s too much money on the line. Jobs too. And shit, you can just get another qb since Damn so many teams are playing younger dudes at qb anyway.

And yes, it’s fair to assume that it’s possible a shithead white guy might have gotten more chances on WFT than Haskins got. Or maybe not. Johnny Football for instance. That’s a recent example of another bad organization moving on quickly once they realized they had the wrong dude. Rosen? Same thing..and maybe he got an even more raw deal? Maybe?

Last and...I hope dude views this a wake-up call and does the work on the field and as a professional to try to get back onto a field on Sundays. And if we ever see this mfer again, I hope he shows up and kills it. Hurts got better after Bama. Josh Allen is getting better once he got some killer upgrades and did the off-season work to be less horrible at several things. Other young qbs got better. Hopefully he can too. I’m not optimistic cuz getting benched for dudes who can barely play should scare the fuck out of any young qb. We’ll see!

Ron Rivera stated that they were going to look towards the draft for a QB, because he didn’t like Haskins and he wasn’t part of the camp that drafted him.

2728694, I don’t think Rivera was against seeing what Haskins could do
Posted by calij81, Mon Dec-28-20 05:38 PM
If he was intent on getting rid of Haskins and going with his own guy I would think that WFT would have drafted a QB with the 3rd pick of the draft since both Herbert and Tua were available at the time or Rivera could have even picked up Cam.

The closest comparison to this is Rosen and Arizona. Arizona had a new staff after Rosens rookie season and decided to get rid of Rosen and draft Murray.

>I hope the Steelers pick him up, let him sit behind Ben next
>year and learn how to become a man under Tomlin.

It seems like he had made some strides in the offseason but couldn’t hold it together for a whole season.

He will need someone to see something football-wise in him or he’s toast once the ‘not ready to be a pro’ stuff comes out. And yeah, imagine breaking covid protocol to try to sneak a chick into a hotel like you’re goddamn Cassidy and R Kelly and still getting chances to start after that. Then you backdoor that months later with bullshitting around with strippers the night of a loss WHEN YOUR NEW HEAD COACH HAS BEEN DOING CHEMO TREATMENTS. Oh, and you do this when your raggedy ass has a chance to help drag a team into the playoffs via winning a bad division. And you know how the sports universe loves ‘winning the division’.

I’ll put on one of those little NOI hats and go to racial bat for a kid if I think some bullshit went on. And I wanted to do it for this kid, especially as a qb. And yes, I’m guessing the blogs and talk shows are gonna give it to him ala Da Brat (the remix). But it is tough to feel bad for him. Maybe someone needs to play him that JJ Watt ‘do your shit or you shouldn’t be here’ post-game clip.

and yes, he was an idiot with the covid stuff but cmon, there have been tons of players and QB’s who have made mistakes when it comes to covid restrictions.

I hope this team never find ls a QB or a name for their shitty team.. lol.
2728757, bro, these aren't mistakes, doe....
Posted by Dstl1, Tue Dec-29-20 01:29 PM
he deliberately took a big, watery shit on the covid protocols...TWICE. It's not some mistake that we can chalk up to being young. My son is 15 and he knows to stay masked up on the school bus ride home. I'm not gonna pretend to really know how good he can or can't be as a QB. I didn't watch him in college and I barely watched him in the pros. He got knocked because of his behavior off the field. If he get's another shot, hopefully he takes advantage of it.

I don't have any incentive to hate on dude, or hope he fails. Just seems like a bonehead, that needs to smarten up. Youngsters do dumb shit, but there's levels. In a time where folks are scratching for everything they can get, dude is blowing millions of dollars. Maybe Washington would have gotten rid of him regardless of what kind of citizen he was...who knows. He certainly hasn't helped himself, though, man.
2728783, oh, I understand dude is boneheaded

but ionno, just feels like he wasn’t part of the plan since Rivera is new and didn’t draft him. Still feels like a power play on Rivera’s part and cutting him after losing to the Panthers feels a bit personal.

Like I said above.. I have no attachments to dude but hell, as a Steeler fan I want him on our roster since Ben is old af. Let him sit for a year and hold a clipboard.. could be a nice cheap pickup and turn onto something in a few years.

Also, I just hate hearing about a Black QB being lazy and immature. Everyone isn’t Peyton or Andrew Luck. These kids overshare and tell on themselves but man.. I really want to see Rivera fail for pulling the plug so quick.

Even we before this season I said it many times - I found it very telling that Haskins had no allies, no teammates and no media voices ever defended him.

I’ve never disliked a Redskin more in my entire life. I just can’t fathom being this entitled, dumb, and laughably bad at a job. He’ll never know just how many millions of dollars he cost himself...he could’ve sat behind Brady in Foxboro for 3 years and it wouldn’t have made a difference. He’s an aloof child and I’m pleased to see him gone.

And I would ask you guys who don’t watch these games and don’t know about Haskins actual reputation to please do even 10 minutes of homework before going “RACIST!” By all accounts he’s selfish and lazy, that’s been confirmed by dozens of people in the organization and who cover the organization. Rivera is coming out of chemo treatments and has an especially sensitive immune system...so Haskins rents strippers and doesn’t wear a mask. This is Harden-sequel, except Harden is crucial to his team and Haskins is oblivious to how disposable he is. But his failure is everyone else’s fault? The coach is Hispanic, the team president is Black. He’s the most unanimously unpopular player since Albert Haynesworth...perhaps this ISN’T racially-motivated?

Chase Young is the energy we’ve so desperately needed. Let’s go make the playoffs.
2728750, I look at Haskins as a metaphor for the entire organization

the haskins fiasco (where everyone involved is an asshole) looks like a pretty good metaphor

2728788, didn't he grown up the DC area? sometimes being at home is the worst...

You’d think he’d been in the White House intentionally ruining the country the last few years rather than just a bad QB, the way they’re going at him.
2728791, right lol...

when a player is cut or someone is fired, negative stories get leaked to the press and all the news outlets repeat them verbatim.

stupid af but look around the league. He isnt the first nor the last to do it.

just heard the Browns closed their facility. Bunch of players in the hot tub without mask.

they make it sound like dude went to Wuhan during the bye to get some hoes

2728669, shout out to Russell Wilson

for rocking the Black Mamba Kobe jersey + Kobe Zoom 6 Grinch combo

then proceeding to survive the LA Rams defense and pushing Seattle to NFC West victory.

It seems like it may be cool in some circles to not like Wilson. These circles are foolish and wrong from where I’m sitting. I see effort, work, leadership, and a lot of good results over an extended period of time.
2728701, Definitely not Cam’s fault.

2728708, Diggs is so good! Loved watching him play at Maryland
Posted by calij81, Mon Dec-28-20 09:27 PM
Then the Vikes got a steal when they drafted him. He is killing it in Buffalo, he has helped to elevate Allen’s game and Allen is better than Cousins.
2728711, I had been thinking Buffalo was a WR away.

They got Stefon and they look like GOATs out there, LOL

I’m glad it worked out. Wrs needed a win.

I’m old enough to remember when Diggs was labeled a diva wr that kills off teams with his evil desire to be thrown the ball when he’s open. Sometimes, folks get it wrong. It looks like this is one of these times. Jefferson getting caught yelling for Kirk Cousins to throw the ball a couple weeks ago makes it all the more funny how wrong it was for Diggs to wear the horns in Minny.

You know it’s bad when Aikman called this out a few weeks ago when he had a Bills game. He went out of his way to praise Diggs as an earthling and a player AND as a positive motivating force within the Buffalo locker room. Ain’t that nice!?
2728719, I only wish this was against Boody. Josh Allen broke records.
Posted by Dr Claw, Mon Dec-28-20 11:07 PM
Namely the Jim Kelly record for TDs in a single season.

If not for the Chiefs having so many ways to fuck up their opponent I'd be picking Buffalo all the way.

I’m lowkey worried about the Chiefs inability/unwillingness to run the ball on anyone who is trying on defense. Their oline has been shit shaky for most of the year. Started with a big opt out. Continued with some injuries. Maybe they have enough time to get it fixed before they play another game that matters? Maybe it will never matter because Andy will just pull out his other other Waffle House menu of plays and Patrick will make it all work with his absurd arm talent and understanding of what Andy is doing?
2728739, they just experimenting and trying to stay healthy
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Tue Dec-29-20 08:45 AM
they'll come out gunning in the playoffs.
2728742, Saying it all year... josh Allen made the leap

2728752, He has but you can’t overlook the arrival of Diggs helping him
Posted by calij81, Tue Dec-29-20 11:43 AM
I still believe Allen has improved his game but he wouldn’t have made this big of a leap without Diggs.
2728786, No doubt about it

Diggs is a legit WR1.

His frustration in MINN was so justified too
