Do that back to back with Mil v Lakers when lebron is out and you just missed giants vs lebron for the whole year.
Plus reducing travel and wear and tear on players has never been an nba concern until load management.
The avg fan is probably more interested in varied matchups in a week then watching the same matchups in a non elim ik n as tion setting imo
