A lot of his comments are after a particular play and "telling us" what a player's mindset was. I think he decided that because he's a former player it would sound good to put us inside a player's mind but the way he says it- yeah it's corny.
And sometimes I be like "Chris none of us watching were wondering nothing you just said.
