That’s the problem with all of them. It’s okay to have one or two players who don’t want to play defense, and just want to focus on offense.

We had that with Hazard and Fabregas. But Willian, Pedro, Kante, Moses and Costa would track back and also do defensive dirty work. We don’t have that with this team because frank is offensive minded, and none of these young attacking players know how to play defense.

Pulisic, Werner, Mount, Ziyech just poor on getting back and pressing, and covering space when the opponent has the ball.

Kante and Azp are old, and aren’t the same defensively. Kante has been terrible these past few games. That was a terrible pass by him that led to the 1v1 sterling break away. He no longer has the ability to cover major ground. He did it for so long, it’s only natural for him to be on the decline. And Frank makes it worse by playing him more offensively, instead of just having him sit in front of the backline.

Sterling is just abusing Kante at this point...sad to see

Chilwell is another Alonso, great on attack but can’t cover space or player. Zouma and Silva can only do so much, as well as Mendy.

This is why you don’t spend millions on young, unproven offensive players who can’t track back, and neglect to spend on defense.
