2726850, ....Not, apparently, easy enough for the Trailblazers
Posted by Cold Truth, Thu Dec-03-20 04:41 PM
To win more than one game.

2726857, they went 7-2 in bubble play-in games to make the playoffs
Posted by 40thStreetBlack, Thu Dec-03-20 05:32 PM
after being basically dead in the water when the regular season was halted. Still had a winning record overall in the bubble even after LA beat them 4-1 on their way to the chip, and Houston and Denver also lost 4-1 to LA despite having much better regular season records. And Dame balled the fuck out. Not sure what he said that is under dispute.
2726862, This isn't about Dame or his comments.
Posted by Cold Truth, Thu Dec-03-20 06:05 PM
Or the Blazer's record.

Dame's a Made Man. He should be arrested for his murder of OKC.

This post is about L McPherson's broader agenda.
2727015, oh yeah i forgot about that

carry on.
2726871, about as meaningless as Phoenix's 8-0 record, teams that had clinched...
Posted by ThaTruth, Thu Dec-03-20 07:02 PM
treated those games like preseason games
2726918, bullshit, the majority of teams were fighting for seeding.

>treated those games like preseason games

play was certainly sloppy early on, but not because they didn't care about the games.
2726928, I didn’t keep up with everybody else but the Lakers clinched in like...
Posted by ThaTruth, Sat Dec-05-20 09:07 AM
the 2nd or 3rd game and after that Lebron and AD were playing like 15-20 minutes.
2726956, Right, cause they were the 1 seed
Posted by pretentious username, Sun Dec-06-20 11:37 AM
The 1 and 2 seeds in both conferences were pretty much decided, but everyone else was jockeying for position
2726931, That’s because it was also easier for the better teams.
Posted by Frank Longo, Sat Dec-05-20 11:15 AM
It was easier for everyone.
2726934, ....I know that. that's the point.

All Stah went all asterisk crazy after the Lakers won, because they supposedly had all these advantages due to the bubble.

My contention was that the bubble provided an even playing field. If it was easy for the Lakers, it was easy for everyone else. But he then went digging for other things that are just part of the game anyways, to suppit his bubble asterisk. Clips lost because his granny passed! Lakers won because injuries!.

I considered this post as an extension of his same line of thinking on the subject, and my contention remains the same: the bubble was an even playing field, all things considered. So if they Lakers had an easy run due to the bubble, so did everyone else

Hence, my comment, which is a dig at All Stah, not Dame or anyone else.
2726852, what he said was patently obvious
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Thu Dec-03-20 04:45 PM
Do you wanna have to go back and forth between Memphis and Portland or Miami and Milwaukee or do you wanna stay in one place the entire time? He isn't trying to take anything away from the victors but I am sure Laker fans are already in here acting butthurt as I'm typing this reply.
2726853, Ain't nobody coming for Dame. L-Stah is a different story.

Not at all.

But this isn't a post about Dame's comments.
This is an L-Stah, Agenda War Special.

Because he spent time propping up the Clippers dogs, watched them lose in epic fashion, and then spent the rest of that playoffs trying to downplay the Lakers win. This post is an extension of that.

My take is that the playing field was as level as it could possibly be, so far as the bubble itself went. Injuries, personal issues, etc, are a different story and come with the territory, but the bubble evened things out in a lot of ways. There are certainly some things to look at in the micro, but I think it put everyone on relatively even footing.

So, while I can only speak for myself, my guess is that any negativity toward this post from Lakers fans will be more likely in regard to L Stah (he's more than earned that L since his return) and his particular angle on the subject than Dame himself, or the notion that the bubble made certain things easier.
2726855, I think he was the highest scoring player in the bubble
Posted by allStah, Thu Dec-03-20 05:10 PM
prior to the playoffs. So he is even talking against his prolific output.

Humble dude.

2726886, Shame he didn’t stick around longer then I guess

2726911, Yes, he didn't mean for everyone
Posted by RagOnMe, Fri Dec-04-20 03:38 PM

They were essentially playing at a fancy fitness facility or the YMCA with other NBA players.

NO CROWDS

NO TRAVELING

Minimal distractions.

If you locked in it should be easy.

2726924, Exactly.

Once the reality of a real NBA season commences, you will see a lot people
change their tune.

2726953, unless I missed something, nobody said it was harder in

the bubble. of course things are easier when you take away a lot of the variables. it was easier for everybody.

some teams screwed themselves up or didn't adjust well. other teams/players did great. and there were some great games.
2726927, He heard that window slam shut, I hope he enjoys his supermax...

before they always lost to GS before and 1 year to AD with the Pelicans, this year they lost to AD with Bron and it looks like that duo is going to be together for a few years.

How long before Dame “demands a trade”?
