Watching ATL play annoys me so much. There’s so much squandering going on all at once. At least the defense seems to be showing some pride.
2724650, let's see how they mess it up this week

2724657, Mike Davis deserves a starting role somewhere
Posted by Amritsar, Fri Oct-30-20 08:30 AM
guy wasn't the right fit in SF under Shanny's scheme

say behind Carson in Seattle

and Chicago... Nagy. Enough said

I haven't thought this all the way through about where he could be a nice fit, but seems like he can find a role in one of hte many RBBC's out there at the very least.

Jacksonville could use a not expensive upgrade. They just want a guy who is hard to tackle who tries that doesn't cost 8 million or more a year. If only they could get a QB who isn't a liability with or without cool facial hair.

Dude doesn’t even have 4.3 speed, but his route is on some other shit. Only receiver I have ever seen that reminds me of Jerry Rice.

Dude just outworks people with football IQ and technique ...His main issues are injuries. That is his only knock.

Both players fumbled with the game on the line.

Lamar played his worst game as a pro no doubt, careless as hell with the ball.

And please stop with the Patterson screen and run plays. It’s not effective.
I swear I would rather have Trubisky out there.

2724793, Anthony Lynn and the Chargers trying to lose another winnable game
Posted by calij81, Sun Nov-01-20 07:00 PM
Lynn’s team just can’t finish.
2724794, Lynn and the Chargers have blown 4 16 point leads in a row
Posted by calij81, Sun Nov-01-20 07:33 PM
Chargers are 3-13 in games decided by 7 points or less.

Lynn can’t close these games. Minimum he has to fire his DC and make some changes because at this rate he is about to get fired.
2724797, The are the Clippers of the NFL lol
Posted by ThaTruth, Sun Nov-01-20 08:22 PM
2724799, Seriously. I am not advocating for Lynn to be fired, I like Lynn and want
Posted by calij81, Sun Nov-01-20 08:27 PM
Him to succeed and win. I think he needs to fire his DC Gus Bradley, I have never been impressed with Bradley. I am afraid Lynn won’t because they go back to their time together at Buffalo.

Lynn needs to do something because most NFL games are close and you can’t go 3-13 in close games. It’s one thing to blow a lead against good teams like the Saints or TB but you can’t blow a 17 point lead against bad teams like Denver or Jacksonville.
2724795, Foles gotta go!!!
Posted by allStah, Sun Nov-01-20 07:50 PM

But I can see him developing down the road.

2724820, This is 100 percent incorrect.
Posted by allStah, Mon Nov-02-20 09:59 AM
They had opportunities to win in the 4th quarter. He did get more comfortable in the second half , and he did get them in the red zone to get FGs, which is how they got the 9 points.

My point is the kid has talent, and I see why they drafted him. And I would rather go with him for the rest of the season than Dalton who can’t really make plays with his legs.

Those qb rollouts and RPOs were very effective with him.

First game in the nfl, 200 yards, zero interceptions.....it’s far from garbage.

But there was one rookie QB who was complete garbage ....and the only starting QB in the nfl to throw for under 100 yards.

Bonaduce THREW some INTs but they didn't get caught. The big hole in his game is the failure to get rid of the ball when the rush is obviously on. It is clearly a tough thing for lots of QBs to do. But he didn't have that 'oh shit!' impulse much at all and it was the concern on him coming out of college. If he never gets that, he's got no shot on most NFL teams.

I agree that I'd rather watch him struggle and maybe improve as oppose to watching Andy tread water and still lose. My Ohio buddies gave me plenty of time seeing the same thing. But Jerry and his fans might not have the stomach to just lean into being bad, learning as much as they can about their roster, and going into next year with draft capital and good info.

Whoever starts next week against the Steelers next week is gonna get the rush put on them something ridiculous.
2724833, Yeah. I’m sure that will improve.
Posted by allStah, Mon Nov-02-20 01:31 PM
That was his first game in the NFL, and they threw zero blitzes at him.
I can just imagine how the speed of the rush had him in shock.

Wentz had two interceptions and two fumbles, and there was a period where
Danucci strung along some good plays to move the team.

We all saw how Eli Manning and other QBs got sacked throughout their entire rookie season because the speed of the rush had them in shock.

I just hope Dallas allows him to develop for the rest of the season. Andy Dalton is trash. I’ll take that motherfucker right now over Foles.
2724814, My Steelers won another slugfest with those damn Ravens
Posted by legsdiamond, Mon Nov-02-20 09:37 AM
Every time we play it’s body parts all over the field.

2724822, So, yeah
Posted by allStah, Mon Nov-02-20 10:16 AM
Dolphins have the 8th pick in the next draft. It was reported on Get Up, through sources, that the Dolphins started Tua to really see if he is their future qb.

So now it all makes sense. If they don’t feel he can cut it, they are going to draft another qb. So this is basically a necessary audition due to them having a high draft pick, and the talent that will be in the draft.

All the bad teams have young, solid or decent QBs. The jets could move away from Darnold, but it’s still too early and that oline is trash. Can’t see any other TERRIBLE team needing a QB, maybe Washington......so fields and some other top QBs could still be there.

It’s focked up that it is affecting Ryan, but I get it.
2724823, welcome to last week

2724824, RE: welcome to last week

Lol...I originally thought they were just trying to be upstaged by the success of Burrows and Herbert , so they just wanted to get their guy out there, even though they have an opportunity to win the division.

No matter the reason. It’s still fucked up. Ryan has been playing for years, and to miss out on a possible PO opportunity...He May never get this chance again. And they do have a championship defense in my opinion. They have been doing this all season to some top teams.
2724830, lmao. B-Shells was right.... Wentz = Favre
Posted by Dr Claw, Mon Nov-02-20 12:54 PM
that score looks like it should have been correct but prior to that game, Wentz had 10 INTs this season, and he added 2 unnecessary Favreballs to the bunch, both in the end zone.

Good thing that Reagor and Fulgham look to be actually good WRs and make up for the loss of Agholor and Jeffrey just about. Seeing Goedert out there was good.

what was not good... run defense + Doug going for it on 4th and short when a punt would have been good. see also the unnecessary 2PT Conv late in the 4th that was eventually gained with a Safety.

Speaking of Agholor, the Browns game was a mirror of the Eagles game prior to the TDs, only Browns WRs were dropping key passes, fumbling others and got knocked out of others. Defense couldn't stop the run.

Everyone but Baker looked like some ass yesterday.

At least the Bills won.

Chicago Bears would be a better team without that bullshit they call offensive playcalling. Foles is a good enough QB (as we all know) but this is the most unremarkable Bears team on offense since PRE-Rex Grossman in the '00s.

I worry that they're afraid of Allen right now. The first few weeks feels like a different team, but I want to believe that John Brown opens up things.

I've been in this line for a LONG time. I hate the overly cute stuff..especially when it's 3rd and short. Get it to Robinson and quit goofing off, Nagy!
2724846, Nah, Bro. Nick Foles is trash.
Posted by allStah, Mon Nov-02-20 05:29 PM
Nagy’s playing calling wasn’t that bad yesterday. It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t awful.

In Ot, Nick had space to run for the first down. He runs towards the first down marker, but then stops and runs back behind the line of scrimmage and gets sacked! I have never seen that in my life.

He will not scramble or provide lateral movement. He will just back peddle and throw off his back foot, instead of throwing it away. So he will either get sacked or throw an interception. Brady can’t run worth shit, and the patriots’ oline was trash last year, but brady was smart enough to just throw it in the ground instead of taking a sack or throwing an interception.

No QB in the nfl will have more than 3 seconds to just sit back and throw! This is why they move around in the pocket. But not Nick.

Behind that same oline Mitch was 3-0, and got benched because of 1 interception. Foles has thrown an interception in 5 straight games, and is 2-3 behind the same oline, and he can’t run, and refuses to run even when there is space to do so.

And the Jaguars got rid of him for Gardner, and both gardner and the jags are trash.

Nick is riding off that one good run with the Eagles. League is too fast for a lame duck like Foles.

It's funny how that whole Foles thing continues to work out. He keeps on getting gigs. He keeps on losing gigs. That Eagles run was a weird one too. Just think: if the Falcons were a more reliable outfit, they lose the first playoff game, Foles doesn't have the legendary run/crazy SB game, and maybe he doesn't get two other shots. Mitch is lacking too but it ain't his fault he got picked over Mahomes (and Watson).

I'd like for him to stick around, because I don't feel like the team should have to develop another QB while all these skill offensive and defensive players are in their prime. But yeah, he's going to need to restructure.
