2723874, PL soccer: feel the competence! Posted by smutsboy, Mon Oct-19-20 11:46 AM
>after consultation with match officials, the FA concluded that the >incident had been seen.
but
>(the replay official) apparently examined the incident involving Pickford and >Van Dijk without evaluating the possibility that the goalkeeper’s >challenge constituted serious foul play.
so it was or wasn't seen? can't be both.
and then
>(the replay official) is thought to have (declined a red card review) >because (the onfield official) felt the challenge was not a red-card >incident.
So then what's the point of a review official on dangerous play?
He can or can't review those situations? Again: can't be both.
Obviously I'm just mad we lost by far our most important player on a dirty and reckless play from a repeat offender that not only went uncalled, it went unpunished.
Once again the PL honestly makes the NFL review system look like the fucking Code of Hammurabi.
