With the lakers it is perimeter play and 3 point shooting. They never fixed it. And it is costing them.


With the clippers, its interior defense and rim protection. That shit is pathetic. We saw it against the suns, when booker ate them up with penetration and points in the paint.
They have no defense against those Dallas bigs in the paint, and once players get past
the defense of George or Kawhi on a screen or and pick and roll, it’s nothing but buckets.

In this day and age, if you have a huge weakness, it will be exploited.

Houston actually turned their defense up on the perimeter and in the paint. Houston has become a very tough team mentally. The job Tucker and Green were doing defensively on Adams was quite impressive.

However harden and Gordon came on strong in the 4th and knocked things out.

Okc just can’t match the 3 point bombing of the rockets. That’s all they are going to shoot. Plus they are just too young when it comes to Shai, Dort, and Bazely.

Every player on that team has the license to chuck a three even if they miss constantly.

There are zero signs that dude is not going to have a really long and successful career. His overall game, play style and size are built for longevity. At 21 he’s just too fucking good already.

But yeah he has all the tools to be top 10 when it’s all said and done and maybe higher as long as he avoids serious injuries. He puts up the numbers...is an alpha...and doesn’t fold like so many other so called top players. Chips should be in his future for sure.

Since his game isn’t built on athleticism it seems like he would be able to survive injuries that aren’t chronic. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. But his size, IQ, shooting ability and feel for the game are elite beyond his years. That shit ain’t going anywhere and will only get better.

There is this former nba who goes by the name of Michael Ray Richardson ,who played like Bird and Magic. It was a similar display to Luka , but drugs got the best of him. They have already compared Luka to him. He Had 18 triple doubles for the Knicks and is only the third player to lead the league in steals and assists in a single season. I was splitting time between a protest and the Lakers game Monday night since that bar was mostly dead and my friend was behind the stick, and there was this Macauley Culkin circa Stan-era Eminem dude down there that was the most baffling infuriating dude I'd met in a long time and we went the whole gamut. Police monitoring the protest came over to investigate and left him alone once learning he was a veteran and mostly yelling at a Black guy. What he was yelling about was how frustrating it was that in order to watch basketball he had to see all this BLM bullshit and that he couldn't walk down the street after his shift without being reminded of how weird the world is right now. They had a drumline going and, "as a drummer", he couldn't understand why any self-respecting drummer would politicize such an apolitical instrument.

At one point when he was finally being asked to leave by everyone within earshot, he said the sentences "I fought for this country, for this fucking freedom you're telling me I don't have. Fuck America, man!" back to back which was such a fascinating mental hurdle I'm still thinking about it twenty four hours later.

I just think there are too many people out there that would hold it against the players for depriving them of their beloved basketball without ever stopping to analyze how backwards it would be to complain about a bunch of affluent Black men depriving us poor white guys of our favorite hobby to make a point about the abuse of Black men's bodies in this country. These people just can't see past whatever entitlement they think they have, at least not when it comes to something as germane to the American experience as watching live sports has become. This guy was complaining to a Black man about Black Lives Matter ruining his enjoyment of this sport primarily comprised of Black athletes. And then got upset when the Black guy and his white friends swarmed him and called him on it!

These are the people who made Facebook posts two weeks ago when the Big Ten canceled its fall sports about how "I was anti-mask all summer but now it's serious guys. Masks on, we've got to save the Huskers/Buckeyes/Hawkeyes' season!" without realizing they've already missed the point and can't have what they have.

These people are going to be pushed against the wall until they die, and I'd worry that sitting out a basketball game would actually just rev them up rather than inspire any kind of introspection.

Those were the points that he scored in each game, and Utah had a 3-1 series lead. He wasn’t even close to being the problem.

The problem is Royce and Ingles, especially ingles, offer nothing as players. This was the 4th game of the series where joe ingles scores 7 points or less. He had one game where he scored 0 points, in which he played 35 mins.

So when you have two players in Utah’s starting lineup who are not known for their offense, it makes it really easy to double Conley and Mitchell, which is what Denver did in the first half.

In this game Royce had 5 points and Ingles had 7 points. Had either one of them scored at least 10-12 points, Utah would have won the series.

but he looks like a totally different player. I know he handled the ball more before Conley got there, and that may be part of it. But he's been there long enough for him to adjust. He was terrible and has to be traded. Royce O'Neale to me is fine to keep as long as he comes off the bench. And don't forget, Utah was also missing Bojan Bogdanovic, who is a 20ppg scorer.
