He came to Villa for one final challenge as a player and fell in love with the club. Because that's what people do with this club. Look at Tyrone Mings two years ago. On loan from Bournemouth, helped us win promotion and took the train home in his full Villa kit.

Look at the look on James Milner's face after he scored what he knew would be his final goal for the club, in front of the Holte End: https://resources.premierleague.com/photos/2019/09/16/95d6d73d-a524-4a4b-b134-e1c23abef2fb/milner-harewood-avl-whu.png?width=860&height=573

Look at Pepe Reina celebrating staying up just as hard as he celebrated World Cups and Champions Leagues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGvzVSW7gGU

That's the point- there's joy in the good moments at Villa.

Look at yourself in these threads. Nothing's ever good enough for you. Everything's a disaster always. 12 Champions Leagues and you're still mewling over the slightest setbacks that Real faces. CONSTANT bitching about Chelsea despite the fact that the club was the very definition of midtable champions before Roman came in with the shady ass Russian petrodollars.

Keep Villa's name out of your mouth.
