He has one year left on his contract, with wages of 600,000 a week. Barcelona is going to want an arm and a leg on the transfer fee or a lot of players in return, and again who in their right mind is going to pay 600,000 a week wages for a 34 year old with one year left on his contract?

Only thing that can be done that makes sense, is for Barcelona to terminate the contract and allow him to walk for free, which is not going to happen.

So he will either stay for one more year and walk once his contract ends, or Barcelona will terminate his contract ( mutually agree) upon request and he walks. Or he re-ups on a sentimental player deal ( he is too much of a symbol to leave Barça). They will not be able do a transfer on a player who has one year left on his deal, making 600,000 a week and is 34 years old. What club in their right mind would do that?

He should have left years ago. ...might as well just go to MLS and be a billionaire soccer player in America with the endorsements and celebrity that would ring in.

Ronaldo wins again!
