This is what I thought they’d do temporarily and I was surprised that they committed to picking a nickname this week. Their other PR nightmare probably got in the way. The slur ain’t coming back if national retailers won’t sell their shit though. Plus “Washington Football Team” is what many in the media have been calling them for a few years now, so it makes some sense.
*For the record, I’m 90% sure they’ll pick a shitty name in a year, but 100% sure they’d pick a shitty name now.
