I do believe that Snyder’s so obsessed with how his players perceive him that at least some of the decision is motivated by not wanting to put guys in weird situations.

If they’d gotten to training camp and the name hadn’t been changed, press would’ve started asking players about the name, and I think that would’ve made him look bad to the players he’s so obsessed with being friends with.

Like Jonathan Allen is a pro’s pro, family man, Alabama product, and from a military family... you can’t put a guy like that in an embarrassing situation for long and not expect him to hold you accountable.
