Don't have it nearly as bad as some folks in here, but man this is a bummer.

About a year and a half ago I kinda fell into a position that utilized all my skills and was for a cause I believed in. I worked for the communications dept. of a union and was basically fighting the man everyday. My first minute on the job I was dropped in a meeting where they were brainstorming ideas of how to mess with a large company that was fucking over our members. I couldn't believe how lucky I was. It was the first full-time job I really liked. Sure it came with much of the bullshit that any job comes with, but the end goal was great and I truly loved the team I was working with.

Oh well, onward and upward. I should be fine financially for the time being. Got some savings and I'll get those unemployment checks rolling in soon enough. Gonna miss it a lot though.

Gotta start writing again... goddamn.
