Not really weird at all. The players who replaced the stars are more defensive.

Wizards picked up Gary Payton II, who is a defensive beast. He is going to get 2-3 steals a game and a few blocks. He was in the backcourt with Ish Smith who is also a good defender. Plus the wizard average 116 points a game! Crazy. This is why even when they lose , the games are always high scoring, Heat couldn’t keep up with that scoring pace. And McRae can score. Heat isn’t a huge scoring team. So even if the wizards face a team that has a better record, but if that team does not have a fast scoring pace, take the wizards to cover

Wizards about to have a turn around if they keep Gary P. However the elephant in the room is that Beal and Thomas suck defensively...wizards problem ain’t scoring. Them motherfockers can score like crazy.

Same thing with the wolves, Wiggins and kat suck defensively. But you put culver,dieng in there and you get scoring and some defense. Plus the wolves are 5th in steals and Brooklyn is 27th in turnovers..timberwolves had 12 steals!
