It’s one thing to be be unaware of social and political issues, but to be cynical and disrespectful regarding issues that affect, not only the black community, but the community that you grew up in, really illustrated just how self absorbed he was ( and probably still is). Gantt was seeking to become the first black senator of North Carolina.
