2705747, 10/26 NBA: Look Out, The Cavs Are Ringing Cowbells Posted by Dr Claw, Sat Oct-26-19 08:20 PM
LMAO. The Ben Simmons effect is contagious. In a game where the Cavs lead the Pacers 65-48 at the half, and at numerous points had a 20-point lead....
TRISTAN THOMPSON HIT A SPOT UP THREE.
Kevin Love is killing it tonight. The way this ball is moving, you'd forget how ISO-heavy this team has been in damn near the entirety of the 16 years I've been in town

Ingram isn’t consistent enough. They kept Kuz so they’ll be straight.

What are you nuts?
Have you seen him this year?
Dude is what only 20 years old?
Man that dude is dropping 22,25, 35 first three games ...getting 10 boards and 6 dimes
And ZO filling in nicely.
Lakers are going to regret that shit ...especially since their plan is fucked because of the clippers.

You might be the one who’s nuts
Ingram is not going to do this every game. There are NO championship expectations for the Pelicans. Ingram looks good at times and there are times where he looks pedestrian. In those three games with those point totals they were all losses.
The Lakers will never regret giving up those guys. AD is a perennial all-star and is better than all of the players they sent to the Pelicans combined. They made the right choice in keeping Kuz and letting those guys go.

2705792, Ingram has always been better than Kuzma. Posted by Frank Longo, Sun Oct-27-19 01:03 PM
At nearly everything.

That’s why they kept him over Ingram.

2705807, If you recall they were going to include Kuz in that deal last season... Posted by hip bopper, Sun Oct-27-19 02:42 PM
along with everyone else that went.
Common sense must’ve set in because Kuz has more upside than BI.

2705955, This is, somehow, an even crazier remark. Posted by Frank Longo, Mon Oct-28-19 11:21 PM
>Common sense must’ve set in because Kuz has more upside than >BI.
At least with pure counting stats, you can kind of sort of make an argument for Kuzma. But in terms of potential, there's no debate-- Ingram has *always* been the higher potential player and always will be. That's why, unsurprisingly, he was drafted almost a full round above Kuzma.
I doubt you'll find even a Laker fan who was disappointed by Ingram who would disagree with that statement.

And that’s not even a knock on Kuz who considerably improved his defense last year but moreso a testament to BI

2705778, Eh. I preferred to keep the kids and excercise some patience. Posted by Cold Truth, Sat Oct-26-19 11:24 PM
Once we got Brawn, the writing was on the wall for everyone. AD is a generational talent. As confident as I am that BI will become an elite wing, and Zo will wind up a very good PG at worst, AD is a known quantity.
I'm not a fan of jumping the gun on a rebuild, but I'll absolutely take an LB/AD tandem.
That said, I adopted the Pels, for as long as BI and/or Zo remain on the team.

2705769, I'm good with that win. Posted by Dr Claw, Sat Oct-26-19 10:20 PM
There was a LOT of good, a good deal of bad (in the 4th quarter), but for the first time in a post-LeBron Cavs team, there actually seems to be a system being formed. Actual offensive sets. DEFENSE.
We still ain't winning 30 this season but that is very, very encouraging. Under Belein, the team appears to be going somewhere.
Tristan Thompson is the consummate professional on the court. He saved this team's ass in tight spots.
AND HE MADE A 3, LMAO

2705777, I'm confident BI will ascend this year. Zo too. Go Pels! Posted by Cold Truth, Sat Oct-26-19 11:18 PM
I'm also confident that they'll learn how to turn those numbers to W's.
Hate to see the rough start, but I think they'll come around.

2705954, this is really a huge win for the Klay Thompson agenda. Posted by Frank Longo, Mon Oct-28-19 11:19 PM
it's a lot harder to win without a large 2 guard who can splash 3s at a crazy rate and be a versatile defender.
I don't doubt they'll figure it out and play better as they adjust to life without Klay... but yeah. Klay missed very few games since getting drafted, Steph hasn't had to play without him much at all.

2705952, Suns without Ayton are still solid Posted by HecticHavoc, Mon Oct-28-19 11:15 PM
Monty Williams is the coach of the year and i know its silly to say that this quickly
Suns are a COMPLETELY different team this year.
|
2705961, tried to told people about Monty... Posted by Dstl1, Tue Oct-29-19 09:46 AM
dude was in charge of the defense in OKC and it was never the same after he left.

2705964, RE: 10/26 NBA: Look Out, The Cavs Are Ringing Cowbells Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-29-19 10:32 AM
Kelly Oubre, Jr is turning into a beast of a player. Every year his totals increase.
He is getting at least 2 steals and 1 block a game, and is avg about 17 points a game, and 6 boards
But his ability to fill of the stat sheet changes the game for his team. I think he is the most important player on the suns.
A true all around player.
I can see him avg 22/10/5,plus 2 steals, and at least 1 block a game. by next year.
This is what wiggins is supposed to be. Even went to the same freaking school.

2706004, RE: 10/26 NBA: Look Out, The Cavs Are Ringing Cowbells Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-29-19 11:53 PM
Anthony Davis having a monstering game. However dude is playing with a bad shoulder and lakers up by 20.
I must say the defense by the lakers have been outstanding and their bugs make hard for young teams to get inside, especially teams that can’t shoot.
Lebron played the point extremely well.
the shooting has been abysmal and you wonder where the bench scoring is going to come from. So smart of Vogel to keep one of his stars on the floor at all times to provide some type of threat on the second unit.
But these two have to work hard every night, just wonder if the energy is going to be there come playoff time.
A lot of teams are not going to be able to score inside against the lakers bigs . But for teams that can hit shots from the outside, pulling the bigs out , is where the lakers are going to have real problems like they did against the clippers. Dallas, Houston, Clippers, Utah are where they will see problems ...so lakers better start shooting better.
