The criticism for the original move was spread across the whole team so no individual really caught a ton of heat.

We all know the GM is ultimately responsible for personnel moves but we don't know the dynamics of discussion within the team. Who was pushing for the move and why? Who was against it? We don't really know so the blame gets diluted.

But this dude gets triggered by seeing a female reporter with a domestic violence wristband in the clubhouse.... so he basically made himself the target for all that criticism that was spread across the rest of the team and front office.
