2703731, Bleacher Report All-Time NBA Rankings: OKP Sad Generator
Posted by Orbit_Established, Fri Sep-27-19 06:39 AM

Someone need to swipe the whole list

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2854727-bleacher-reports-all-time-player-rankings-nbas-top-50-revealed

5. Bird
4. Magic
3. Kareem
2. Bron
1. Jorn

A) The funny part is the #1 and #2: The Lebron entry basically
says he's better than Jordan by almost every adult measure,
but Bleacher Report basically just gives in and says
they can't have him #1 because people are dumb and won't
understand Lol

(the one stat: the GAP between Lebron and Jordan in
PLAYOFF value above replacement would be the 19th best
player ever.......LMAO)

B) The fuss about Kobe being below Steph. Kobestan alive.

C) Other funnies: Barkely is way, way, way too low. Kinda
interesting how he's managed to become the most underappreciated
all time great ever.

2703732, They made some flubs but there's some good stuff here
Posted by auragin_boi, Fri Sep-27-19 08:22 AM
Zeke being that low is hilarious and probably not accurate.

David Robinson is underappreciated but I think they give him too much credit for longevity which was definitively assisted by Duncan's greatness. If Dream had a Duncan, he might have played longer and won more too. I think the stats they showed about the head to head with Dream told the entire story.

I love when people say, Kobe was a 1a to Shaq during their run but then you see stuff like this:

"Over the course of his first seven playoff runs with the Los Angeles Lakers (100 games), O'Neal averaged 29.1 points, 13.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 blocks. During the Lakers' three-peat, he averaged 35.9 points, 15.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.9 blocks in 15 Finals games.

During the 2000 Finals alone, he put up 38.0 points, 16.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.3 assists on the way to his first title."

And realize, that was Shaq's team. Kobe was a Robin...a very good one but those first 3 rings were probably 70% Shaq and 30% Kobe.

And to the whole LeBron vs Jordan debate...this sums it up:

"But even all of that isn't quite enough to give LeBron the No. 1 spot. Yet. Statistically, he may be the best. But he's not the greatest. That comes from winning."

He wins a few more, which he's positioned to do, most people won't put up a huge fight with him being considered GOAT. Right now, LeBron's fighting to make it less of a fight and more of an acknowledgment. Only reason Jordan can really top Cap is because of Jordan's 6-0. If Bron get's 5-6 with his track record, the L's won't mean as much and people will bow down...even begrudged Jordania citizens like myself (though about 60% of the whole country likely won't agree, making a 40% dent pretty much solidifies it).

Not what it said. Like, at all. Did you think no one would read it? Hell, did you read it?

And yet, you make a "fuss" about Charles below? So the list is right except when you disagree?

(I agree with you on Chuck by the way, but your lack of self awareness here is tough to watch)

I agree for the most part. But again, you are allowed to say Barkley is too low, but Kobe fans aren't? L O L never change, man

These lists in general are made for debates. Their love of advanced states like "value over replacement player" is fucking hilarious weather or not you agree with the list.

Wait, haven't you made fun of advanced stats before? But they are cool when they support your stance? LOL I'm crying.

List like this is for clicks. And pointless debates. And, I guess, for certain dweebs who lack even a little bit of self-awareness to accidentally prove what hypocrites they can be. *shrug*

LOL I needed this. Thank you
2703741, Ummm....that is what it said. If anything, I undersold it.

>Not what it said. Like, at all. Did you think no one would

It literally said that it should be 1A and 1B. That
the gap between them is shockingly close, and that there
are many arguments for Lebron.

That is what it said. Lol

>I agree for the most part. But again, you are allowed to say
>Barkley is too low, but Kobe fans aren't? L O L never change,

Kobe is third tier, so they have him about right

The legend of Kobe being anywhere near the top tier of
basketball players is one of the great hilarious lies
of basketball

Umm my specific beef is that *I* understand how to use them
responsibly. Most dickheads do not.

2703940, Reggie Miller lol
Posted by BSharp, Tue Oct-01-19 11:14 AM
The metric they used to boost Reggie was the most seasons with 500 minutes and double digit scoring.

Get the fuck outta here.

Easily the most overrated player in NBA history. Just because he was good at shooting 3 pointers and had, like, two moments against the Knicks doesn't make him an all-time great player.

Ray Allen was a better shooter, a better playmaker, a better rebounder, a better defender, a champion, and made TWICE AS MANY all-star games.

Not to mention he's arguably the worst broadcaster in the NBA. Perhaps even worse than my hero Clyde the Glide, which is saying a fucking lot.

Been saying this for years. Easily the most overrated.
2704056, Miller is a fine player but hell yes Ray Allen drinks his milkshake
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Fri Oct-04-19 01:46 PM
Miller was a good shooter and at one point had other elements to his game. His clutchness and longevity are definitely factors, cool also that he played his whole career in one place so obviously Pacers fans love him.

He was a borderline HOF selection, at least before the standards dropped.

Allen, however, is better in literally every facet of the game. Steve Nash was also both a better shooter and better all-around player than Reggie, even on defense!
2704059, i learned to enjoy his broadcasts
Posted by Kungset, Fri Oct-04-19 01:49 PM
in a Mystery Science Theater 3000 kind of way

2703970, if a list doesn't make people mad enough to share it
Posted by Rjcc, Tue Oct-01-19 09:57 PM
then the list failed at being a list
