2702976, im having a hard time picking games so far
Posted by mista k5, Wed Sep-11-19 11:52 AM
i mean i did okay last week, got 11 right but i didnt feel confident. dont this week either.

i lucked out on my elimination challenge last week with the seahawks. im going with texans this week but i dont know. im thinking patriots are the safest choice but i wouldnt be that surprised if miami somehow won the game.

cowboys should be a safe pick but i dont know, division games are always tough and im still skeptical about the cowboys. maybe washington showed their true selves in the second half or maybe theyre able to learn from it and have a complete game. i think it will be tough but i do think the cowboys will win it. im hoping to see a better performance from the defense.

all bs aside there were a lot of exciting games last week.
2703029, Bucs vs Panthers

..every game against a division rival is intense, but with both teams currently searching for their 1st win of the season, I'm not really sure what to make of it.

Winston hasn't resolved the turnover issues that have plagued his career, and the O-Line isn't exactly helping. This team is wasting talent.

Newton & company still appear to have some issues, but this could very easily get ugly.

size, speed, guns, mobile

Newton earned MVP and an appearance in the Super Bowl.

Winston has yet to see the playoffs.

and people took the +18 for the dolphins, thinking the margin was too much. That was one of the easiest bets of the day. People get so scared with large margins.

Kickers are costing people money. I took chargers as a pick'em. Kicker missed 2 FGs. they lost by 3.

But pretty decent first half of the day . got dallas on the -6. dallas for the win or the over is going to win a lot of people money.

Now for the second half.

took the over on the KC/oak game and saints/rams game.

took philly -1 over atlanta...that line makes no sense, so i had to go with it off GP

and took a prop bet on bress throwing over 283

Well, the Kansas City vs Raiders game looks like a W and will soon go over.

But now Brees got injured and is done for the game, so those two bets are pretty much Ls.

It appears today is going to break even day. It's going to come down to Philly -1.

Posted by allStah, Sun Sep-15-19 05:07 PM
correction. I took Wentz for 293 or more, not Brees. I originally wanted brees, but the game had started all ready. I forgot about that. So it's philly -1 and Wentz over 293.

gotta love it. chiefs/raiders score 38 points in the first half, and score zero points in the second half.

nothing is ever a gimme, even when it looks like it. I'm even on the day.

last game, philly vs falcons.
2703183, RE: 2019 NFL Redzone: Week 2
Posted by allStah, Sun Sep-15-19 08:32 PM
Well, both receivers are out for philly!...Well, there goes philly's offense as well as the -1 for philly and Wentz throwing for 293.

Injuries killed NO, and now it appears to be happening with Philly. That's the way it bounces sometimes.

so looks like I'm going to be 3-5 on the day.

im not going to go to sb talk. the competition hasnt been the best but the cowboys have taken care of business. have to expect them to be a playoff team and the favorite for the division title. i dont think it will be easy. the schedule gets serious in a couple of weeks. so little to not like so far though.

2703200, as good as it gets....
Posted by CyrenYoung, Mon Sep-16-19 10:30 AM
..Cowboys are clearly stocked with talent at all the vital positions necessary to compete for a championship.

The division is theirs to lose.

If they can remain relatively healthy, they should be in the mix with the Rams.

2703253, Jalen Ramsey wants out of Jax (Link)...

Michael DiRocco
ESPN Staff Writer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey wants out of Jacksonville.

Ramsey's agent, David Mulugheta, told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen on Monday that he asked the Jaguars to trade his client. League sources also told ESPN that the Jaguars have had talks with teams and are asking for at least one first-round pick but would like more than that in return for the two-time Pro Bowl cornerback.

Another league source said he believes a trade could happen as early as this week because of the damage to the relationship between Ramsey and head coach Doug Marrone after Ramsey's sideline outburst during Sunday's loss to Houston. Ramsey yelled at Marrone as he walked by on the sideline, and moments later, players and coaches had to get between Ramsey and Marrone near the bench.

Jalen Ramsey's talent not enough to justify headache for Jaguars
The incident Sunday wasn't the first time Ramsey's discontent with the team spilled over into the public. During the 2016 season, he and fellow defensive backs Tashaun Gipson and Davon House were unhappy with the way they were used. Ramsey, who was a rookie that year, and Gipson complained of being limited by the scheme, and Ramsey advocated for a clean sweep of the defensive coaching staff.

Ramsey also was critical of the team's defensive calls in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game against New England after the 2017 season.

Ramsey, the fifth overall pick in 2016, also wants a new contract. He said in the offseason that the team wasn't going to get a hometown discount after the Jaguars told him they were not going to work on a contract extension for him this season. Ramsey, who showed up to training camp in a Brinks truck, is in the fourth year of his rookie contract, and the team has picked up his fifth-year option for 2020.

Marrone said Monday that the team isn't going to discipline Ramsey. He downplayed the sideline incident, which was caught by CBS cameras, in which Ramsey yelled at Marrone because he was upset that Marrone did not challenge a completion to Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

"Those things, they happen all the time," Marrone said. "They really do. I think now they're a little bit more publicized, but ever since I played, there's always stuff that goes on during the course of the game. I know when I was a line coach they didn't see a lot of them, though, because no one was really in on them. But those things occur, and it's a high-intensity profession. There's a lot of emotion that goes on.

"... We knew it was going to be a tough game, going to be on the road. We wanted to match that intensity with the Texans coming off that tough loss that they had, and we were all jacked up."

Marrone said he did not speak to Ramsey about the incident after the game or Monday. Ramsey left the postgame locker room after declining to speak to the media. The players had Monday off but will be back in the building Tuesday to prepare for Thursday night's home game against Tennessee.

Ramsey was guarding Hopkins on a 3-yard completion that converted a third-and-2 late in the first quarter. Ramsey immediately jumped up and signaled incomplete toward the Jaguars' sideline and wanted Marrone to challenge the play. Marrone didn't, and Ramsey was irate when he came the sideline after the Texans took a 3-0 lead on a 39-yard field goal six plays later.

Ramsey stormed past Marrone, and cornerbacks coach Tim Walton wrapped his arms around Ramsey and guided him to the bench. Marrone came over to the bench and exchanged words with Ramsey before safety Ronnie Harrison and strength and conditioning coordinator Tom Myslinski got between the two. Harrison walked Marrone away.

Marrone said Monday that he went to the bench to tell Ramsey to calm down and focus on the rest of the game. "I wanted him to move on from it," Marrone said. "I mean, that was over plays ago. Move on from it. Let's go. We've got a long way to go in this game. Get that behind you."
