Every rational person knew this is how it would end with him. The man is an island built on a marketing machine. The dance is United saying they don't want or need to sell; now it's on Real to put the money on the table. I don't see any real meltdown about this. If you want to get into reddit muppetry, check the r/reddevils sub and read the muppet thread each day. They are now convinced that MDL has already signed.

Sturridge scored some big goals for the club and his season of magic with Suarez was incredible to watch.
He's still got talent left in the tank, but he doesn't really fit with Liverpool's active system.

The financial ramifications of this move will be insane, especially in hindsight of recent revelations on how dire things are at La Masia, and may significantly challenge UEFA's FFP oversight ability. Coupled with Real's spending and Juve's looming turnover v payroll fiasco, this could launch the super league sooner than later.

I worry about that with how tackle heavy his style is. But he has it all in his locker and unlike Shaw zero concerns over his professionalism. Behind (imo) TAA we have at worst the 2nd best RB

Pique/lenglet/umtiti w/ Todibo for potential is fine for me. de ligt = todibo or umtiti gone and the gap isn't so huge.
