let's get it...

1. Russ - it was unheard of for someone to average a triple-double for a season since Oscar Robertson did it 50+ years ago. Russ is about to do it for the third year in a row. His shooting percentages had fell off some and some people try do say he "pads" but he still gets it done when it counts. He is leading to NBA in assists and his team is playing at a high level.

2. Kyrie - does everything at a high level but can he win without Bron?

3. Dame - another guy that does everything at a high level and is the heart and soul of his team.

4. Ben - despite almost never even attempting a shot outside the paint he gets it done and and his team is winning.

5. Steph - I know people are saying "how can he be 5th?!" He's one of the top players and the NBA and probably the greatest shooter ever but is he really a point guard? Draymond Green usually brings the ball up and leads the Warriors in assists.

6. CP3 - yes he has missed a lot of games and has to share the ball with James Harden but still does everything at a high level to help his team win when healthy

7. Lowry - quietly averaging a career-high 9 apg for 2nd in the NBA and is the engine that makes Toronto go.

8. Jrue - more of a combo guard but is 6th in the NBA in assists and defends positions 1 thru 3 at a high level.

9. Trae - after a rocky start to his rookie season he has come on strong enough in the 2nd half to get some ROY consideration after most people thought Luka Doncic had ran away with it. He probably will always struggle on D but averaging 18 & 8 as a rookie even on a losing team is nothing to sneeze at.

10. Fox - does everything at a high level just needs to be consistent on a nightly basis.

top 5 not-point guards

guys that are not considered "point guards" by definition but get it done:

1. Lebron - has taken the point forward role to a new level...

2. Harden - having ridiculous offensive season and has quietly stepped it up on D...

3. Giannis - another point forward that literally does everything for the Bucks...

4. Draymond - does everything for the Warriors...

5. Jokic - the best post passer in the NBA is a big reason with the Nuggets are on the Warriors heels...
