I wanted to win, yeah…but, not like this...

Nick Foles might could take either of their jobs.

2682148, I think both are great but also think both are hurt

2682149, what is Cam's injury?
Posted by smutsboy, Mon Dec-17-18 11:37 PM
lord he looked awful tonight
2682151, something w/ his arm or shoulder
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Mon Dec-17-18 11:42 PM
he was never accurate but his balls come off like a scatter gun now. he's doing full windups like he's throwing deep and they land in the dirt.
2682163, Why is this dude still throwing across the field?
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-18-18 07:51 AM
My issue with Cam is his lack of respect for a blitz. Is he blind? Dude is always shocked and surprised when they blitz him. McCaffrey also sucks as a blocker but still, Cams legs are fine.
2682164, Ben and Cam are so similar it’s weird
Posted by Tiger Woods, Tue Dec-18-18 08:09 AM

I have no evidence to support this belief, but I just think they think they’re so big and durable they can hang in the pocket a little longer than most QBs. Now the truth is Cam and Ben are nicked up often, get sacked, and turn the ball over as much as anyone else, but they at least seem to think they can hang back there for extra time and that’s my suspicion for why they may believe that.

McCaffrey as a weapon creates a mismatch against just about any defense, but McCaffrey as a blocker puts the offense at a disadvantage and makes Cam more vulnerable. He’s just too small.
2682187, It was reported several weeks ago, Cam is having shoulder issues

His pocket awareness is terrible.

Rodgers. Folks seem generally uninterested in turning on him. He’s getting folks canned. The Pack ain’t winning shit. The Bears might be good for 4 years. The Vikes might be less horrid too. He’ll always have the Lions. But still. He is not playing well. Again. And he is Cutlering it up with the posture and face-making after incomplete passes. That SB was a while ago. He ain’t Eli or nothing but hey...it has been a while.

Cam is mostly what we know him to be. Thing now: he’s ridiculously hurt. Or at least that is what it keeps looking like when I watch him throw. The wind-up doesn’t match where the ball goes and how it gets there.
2682153, Yeah I saw where he attempted one pass beyond 15 yards
Posted by DeepAztheRoot, Tue Dec-18-18 02:02 AM
He is legitimately hurt. As a Saints fan I'm not going to throw dirt on someone gutting it out at far less than 100%. He might be looking at surgery in the offseason.

He is hurt right now, but his MVP season starting to look like an outlier.

It's his only All-Pro season. His TD-to-INT ratio is way out of whack with the rest of his career.

He might not really have been that great of a player even when healthy. He might have just been good.

And given his style of play, his age and his attitude about running the ball…are we expecting him to get healthier as seasons progress?

Oh and btw Russ been injured last three years, he still does better than this.

Elton John can queue up a Candle in the Wind-type tribute for Cam if his shoulder is jacked up.

Russ is better than the whole nfc south sans Drew so yeah. And Wilson hasn’t had a shoulder has he? At his worse, Russ is college Tebow...miss throws and generally play shitty for 2 hours before ‘turning it on’ and ‘making plays’. At his best, he is a party of extended plays and absurdly good throws. He’s like the stuff folks love about Rodgers highlights without the passive aggressive ho shit when he loses. That’s mean. Shrug!

How much different is Cam from Matt Ryan zoomed out? Ice has had 1 lawd hammercy season. And in Matt’s case that may be more unforgivable as he has been granted many weapons and ‘offensive minds’ while Cam has mostly been on a Riverboat with the worst set of Phillip Rivers-y receivers ever assembled.

And they both blew their super bowl opps. Ice’s loss was historic in nature. Tommy was involved. His center had a broken leg. In Cam’s case, Yawl Peyton on fumes and shrooms and a legit supreme defense that was allowed to hit him in the head a few times was involved.

I don’t have all the answers, Sway. Cam is a weird case. I was convinced that he would be horrible after his rookie preseason was such a mess. So I have been proven wrong long ago, but it ain’t like he’s Crab Legs. He’s better than Alex Smith. And Andy Dalton. Tannehill would kill a large village of people to have Cam’s career. Cam is flirting with being Tony Romo with more running to me. High ceiling. Scary floor. Injuries are going to take him away. His replacement is going to catch hell and make him look better in retrospect. Is that fair?
2682177, Cam has a (barely) sub 60% comp
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Dec-18-18 10:25 AM
In today's NFL that is not good.

highest paid QB in the NFL with and never won a playoff game

>In today's NFL that is not good.

If he was doing checkdowns and screens most of the game like some qbs do, I would buy this argument as a connect 4/convo ender.

But Cam does a lot of downfield stuff with shaky weapons. And, again, he’s obviously hurt. I’m not even a huge Cam fan btw.
2682191, Have you watched his career and his WR’s?
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-18-18 12:24 PM
Dude had Kelvin Benjamin dropped a ton of passes and Funchess...

Well, Funchess is slow and can’t catch either.

I know there is a Michigan guy on here who swears Funchess is fast but he is straight line, combine fast. Dude gets no separation.

Ted Ginn. Cam made Ginn look awesome.

2682194, not saying it's all his fault
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Dec-18-18 12:59 PM
but not being able to hit 60% in today's NFL is not good.

Plenty of QBs in harder divisions or bad WRs manage it.
2682195, Please name these QB’s in harder divisions
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-18-18 01:11 PM
IMO the NFC South has been the toughest division over the last 5 years.

2682196, for defenses? hell no
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Dec-18-18 01:17 PM
New Orleans, Atlanta and Tampa Bay have to be one of the easiest collection of defenses to play year in and year out.

The AFC South maybe? But over like a 5 year rolling window I'd argue something like TEN/JAX/IND is noticeably tougher trio than NO/ATL/TB. Even the mediocre ass NFC East usually has significantly better defenses than that trio.

Again, *Cam has a shitty receiving corps and this isn't all his fault*, but there isn't much excuse for a star QB to be sub 60% in today's NFL, no matter who your receivers are.

2682198, Nah... see, you have to score 30 points most games in the NFC South
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-18-18 02:07 PM
So you have to take chances and throw a ton.

AFC Southh is some ugly ass football.

2682203, RE: Have you watched his career and his WR’s?

The pleas never end
2682204, It’s called facts. I know he annoys you but he is a good QB
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-18-18 04:40 PM
is he perfect. Hell no?

Is he over the top with his celebrations? Sure

But the numbers don’t lie. This Carolina team was trash when he was drafted.

Keep hating tho
