2681738, chargers at rams should be a great game
Posted by mista k5, Thu Dec-13-18 10:33 AM
cowboys need to take care of business vs the colts. their 3 remaining games are all winnable but also pretty dangerous. hopefully they can keep the momentum going.

i read an article last night about the packers path to the playoffs. i figured it would be a good laugh. once they broke it down it didnt seem too crazy. i definitely dont want the cowboys to play them in the playoffs again šŸ˜‘

it would be nice to see the bears lose and have a chance at 3rd but it really wouldnt change things compared to 4th. might be better to just have the packers eliminated.
2681753, chargers @ chiefs...
Posted by CyrenYoung, Thu Dec-13-18 01:34 PM
..and yes, it should be a solid matchup.

2681759, Bears are at the door...
Posted by select_from_where, Thu Dec-13-18 02:09 PM
We have seen this movie so many times

Bears can clinch the playoff spot with a win this weekend. This thing is at our DOOR for the first time in a half a decade.

A-Aron has owned us so many times I have no idea what will happen in this game,

I love my bears, but this guy simply has our number.

I can't call it.

once you get your money -- all practice, research, effort, is gone.

there is ZERO excuse to talk about Hunter Henry as a major ESPN sports contributor. i understand, and nearly talked about, him being overworked by espn. he probably knows this, and doesnt give a shit. hes going to be on tv 12 hours a day and say whatever the hell he wants knowing hes gettin paid and what he says doesnt matter. i respect it

KC really blew the coverage on the 2PT conversion. At least KC still has the tie breaker. Both have tough games next week and then conference games to end it. I think KC pulls out the division.

2681815, some players drafted before Derwin James:

11. Miami -- DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama
12. Tampa Bay -- DT Vita Vea, Washington
13. Washington -- DT Da'Ron Payne, Alabama
14. New Orleans -- DE Marcus Davenport, UTSA
16. Buffalo -- LB Tremaine Edmunds, Virginia Tech

wonder how many are going to have better careers...?
2681819, Derwin James DROY without a doubt
Posted by calij81, Fri Dec-14-18 12:35 AM
He is playing like a top 5 pick. Any team that didnā€™t need a QB in the first round and passed up on him are looking real dumb right now.
2681816, CHARGERS!!!!!
Posted by Selassie I God, Fri Dec-14-18 12:08 AM

2681822, Great win for the Chargers but they are still the #5 seed
Posted by calij81, Fri Dec-14-18 12:41 AM
This did lock up a playoff spot for the Chargers but despite being tied for the best record in the AFC, they are still the 5th seed and would have to go on the road. Although, it isnā€™t like they have much of a home field advantage in LA.
2681844, I'd really like to see them host a playoff game at Stubhub
Posted by Marauder21, Fri Dec-14-18 10:30 AM

2681846, that is pretty crazy

Posted by CyrenYoung, Sun Dec-16-18 01:49 PM
..Cleveland has plenty of talent on that roster. They need veteran leadership in the worst way, and it has to start with the front office/ownership.

Should be interesting to see how they handle the GM/Coaching situation moving forward.

>Should be interesting to see how they handle the GM/Coaching
>situation moving forward.

And is John Dorsey no longer there?

https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/front-office-roster/john-dorsey

"During his first offseason at the helm with the Browns, Dorsey orchestrated trades that landed Pro Bowl QB Tyrod Taylor, Pro Bowl WR Jarvis Landry and former first-round DB Damarious Randall. In free agency, the team signed 10 unrestricted free agents and during the 2018 NFL Draft, the Browns selected nine players, including QB Baker Mayfield (first overall) and DB Denzel Ward (fourth overall). The team also signed multi-year extensions with Landry and RB Duke Johnson Jr."

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25275477/gm-john-dorsey-gregg-williams-get-interview-cleveland-browns-job

"The search will not be public. Dorsey said he would go dark about interviews and candidates, but he sees the opening as one that is "very attractive" for several factors: the young talent on the team (which includes quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Nick Chubb, cornerback Denzel Ward and defensive end Myles Garrett), $50 million to $60 million in projected salary-cap space, and 11 picks in the next draft."

Cleveland will be running the division sooner than later and should do so for a long time if they are smart.
2681925, what an atrocious play by Denver to end the game
Posted by will_5198, Sat Dec-15-18 11:53 PM
- protection was messed up from the start; Cleveland has 7 possible rushers against 7 blockers, but back released to flat immediately and Denver did not slide correctly

- if you get paid franchise QB money and see a Gregg Williams defense bring 7 rusher to the LOS with soft coverage behind it, you need to GET THE BALL OUT

- of course Keenum actually took three steps from shotgun, Peppers flying at him the whole time, and he fucking stands there and takes the sack...ON FOURTH DOWN. next time tell him to just spike the ball. shit, punting with 42 seconds left would've gave Denver a better chance.
2681957, idk how many times ive said Case Keenum sucks in 2018

Eagles play Texans next week. If Texans lose, Pats most likely get the bye. This Pats team does not look good however and think will lose the first time it goes on the road. Would be nice to have them play the wildcard game tho, something they haven't done since like 2009.

180 from the offense being lights out and carrying the defense to the defense being as good as anyone right now and the offense sputtering

the best news is they still have won most of these, good teams are able to win in different circumstances and bodes well for the NFC title running through the Superdome. A very difficult place to play for opposing teams and one of the best home field advantages in all of sports IMO.
