2679106, Lordy, this might be the biggest bears game in four years
Posted by select_from_where, Thu Nov-15-18 04:43 PM
If we can handle our division, the naysayers will be forced to rethink our season.

That being said, Trubisky has been very shaky when defenses key on his tendencies, and he needs a lot of help to get out of that sunken place mid-game. It really throws us off schedule and lets defenses tee off. Vikings are the best defense he will see all year possibly.

On the other hand, if the lions game was not an aberration, this could be a crowning achievement of a new prince in the north.

Gonna be tough sledding against this vikings team.
2679108, loving this slate!

the Falcons confuse me. they shut down like 4 top RBs held them under 40 yards each, then let Nick Chubb go ham.

1st half is done and Lamar is proving my point: he ain’t ready to run an NFL squad RIGHT NOW.

If we can afford to let him sit and grow for another year or two, I’d be completely fine with him developing that way instead of heaping a ton of unrealistic expectations on him right now or too soon.

Edit: Lamar could play decently today, regardless of a win or a loss, and I’d still say he ain’t ready right now.

Happy the Giants put up 38 today. Clearly they came with a game plan for Fitz but not Jameis.

OBJ 'tribute' to Warren Sapp was dope

Saquon is a fuckin amazing player man

Eli tied his best completion record (or did he pass it?) Telling you you give this man some protection and a run game and he still can win games

Not sure what this defense's problem was with giving up really dumb, big plays. But it hasn't been our problem historically. Maybe it's the Jameis factor so I'll just lick off my W fingers and not ask questions.

Oh yeah Let's go SAINTS!

easy to say when the Eagles won a Super Bowl.
BUT they won a Super Bowl.

after a moment I thought it was "season over" last season. starting QB who is on fire and HOF LT out.

through a NFC playoff gauntlet, through the Big Bad Evil of Football.

this is what usually happens after so many key injuries.

Posted by tully_blanchard, Mon Nov-19-18 08:35 AM
Can we NOT get a reciever with halfway decent mitts??

Funchess aint the guy...stop it.

DJ Moore aint shown me enough to be an X, but he better learn quick.

The going for two? i totally get the play, but you had nothing to lose. DET still had three time outs left,so even if you got the two, they had more than a good chance to win. The best case scenario is you go to OT.

Now we got Die-Hard Russell Wilson next? Shit...

2679383, About Cousins..
Posted by jimaveli, Mon Nov-19-18 08:36 AM
Is it mean to say ‘hey folks, don’t forget that Kirko Cuzo kinda sucks’?

Is it a bad enough o-line that he gets a pass? Or should he be getting roasted for basically not being able to score 1 game a month?

Can move the ball really well and occasionally even make plays by himself...in 1pm games against lesser competition

When you really need him in a big game, he just can’t do it. Plays his most conservative ball and turns it over.

Posted by smutsboy, Mon Nov-19-18 03:42 PM
Not good enough to win with sub par talent.

But with a good OL, decent weapons and coaching he can be very effective.

His RZ numbers are trash, but RZ is where HOFers are separated from mediocre.

He makes too much money but so do 90% of QBs.

2679452, Man. Dude tried to tell me they were SB contenders with Cousins
Posted by legsdiamond, Mon Nov-19-18 04:11 PM
I swear some folks don’t watch the games, just the stat sheets.

Always felt like Cousins was an Alex Smith type QB. Above average but when you really need a play? He ain’t that dude.
2679460, I mean
Posted by smutsboy, Mon Nov-19-18 06:31 PM
Alex Smith's problem until 2 years ago was an unwillingness to go downfield or take risks. (And this season he was right back to his old ways)

Cousins is kind of the opposite.

Combine them and you'd have a great QB

not zero

https://nypost.com/2018/11/19/the-cowboys-are-in-the-middle-of-dramatic-playoff-reshaping/
In this week’s games, if the Cowboys beat the Redskins and the Giants beat the Eagles and, in the following week’s games, the Eagles beat the Redskins, the Giants beat the Bears and Cowboys lose to the Saints, Dallas and Washington would be 6-6 and the Giants and Eagles would be 5-7.

Spinning this a week deeper — to Week 14 — if the above scenarios play out and then the Eagles beat the Cowboys and the Giants beat the Redskins, all four NFC East teams would be tied at 6-7.

----
i would think this week will play out as above, so was/dal 6-5, phil/ny 4-7

next week though no over dal, phil over was, chi over ny, so was/dal 6-6, phil 5-6, ny 4-8

wk 14 - was over ny, dal over phil. was/dal 7-6, phil 5-7, ny 4-9

wk 15 - this week will be critical but i will guess dal over ind, jax over was, ten over ny, lar over phil. dal 8-6, was 7-7, phil 5-8, ny 4-10

wk 16 - ten over was, dal over tb, hou over phil, ind over ny. dal 9-6, was 7-8, phil 5-9, ny 4-11

wk 17 - dal over ny, was over phil. dal 10-6, was 7-9, phil 5-11, ny 4-12

i can see those being off by 1 so dallas wins it 10-6 or 9-7. the clap continues.
