tbf, he said he doesn’t have a “racial” bone in his body. So on top of lying he used the wrong term lol.

I’ve said this a thousand times, but from what I’ve witnessed, approximately 90-95% of adults don’t know how to apologize. Children are generally better at apologies. Granted that’s because they usually apologize as a reflex rather than a genuine reflection of what they’ve done wrong, but still, children are taught to just apologize and not make excuses. Somewhere along the line people lose that.

took them from mediocrity to the bowl. "his" team went to the SB the year after he left for tampa. I'm not so sure it's a blowout win with another coach as gruden had the cheat code (plus the raiders pro bowl center had a mental breakdown). those raider teams deserved a ring to show for how good they were but they faced one of the greatest defenses of all-time and got shafted by the tuck rule before their window evaporated. I don't blame davis for trying to rekindle that fire.

I find it at least mildly interesting that you can basically fingerbang some broad who isn’t your wife on camera instead of flying back with your team and get off easier than you can if someone digs into a server and finds out that you sent out some obviously bad emails 3-10 years. I’m not sure if we’re doing this right. No condolences for Gruden directly cuz it looks like he filled the bingo card of shit you can’t say or type, but these thoughts still cross my mind.

2748062, Yet the investigation and Emails on Dan Snyder remain private.
Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-12-21 03:47 AM
Someone definitely had it out for Gruden to allow or to leak
said information from 11 years ago, and it also illustrates the difference
between the person who receives checks and the person who writes them.

A legacy of substance that was built up over decades was tainted and
destroyed in a matter of minutes over words and opinions that were
expressed through one’s own private property.

The math doesn’t add up. If they take his, they can take yours.
That’s how quickly it can happen.

2748068, One of these kids is a billionaire who controls a team in a key market
Posted by Castro, Tue Oct-12-21 06:44 AM
the OTHER kid is a smartmouth who fell upward until his mouth induced gravity to roll him in the other direction
2748069, The point is.
Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-12-21 07:30 AM
Gruden said some shit in a personal email to a friend on his own personal
time. All that shit was words on a computer.

The WFT generated a work environment that was physically and mentally
toxic to female employees, and while the NFL privately and quietly investigated
that, it was Gruden’s email that THEY chose to leak?

( One entity said some shit. The other entity actually DID SOME SHIT )

So all the attention will be about Gruden and his controversial statements in private
, as opposed to the inhumane practices of the WFT.

People are more concerned about words and opinions than abuse and murder....
Dave Chappelle made that point in his comedy special.

Like I said, the math doesn’t add up....but hey it’s quite easy to tell people
2+2=5.
2748075, Bruce Allen is the one who used his work email
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Oct-12-21 08:58 AM
and Chucky was prolly emailing directly to Bruce Allens work email.

Snyder thinks Allen is the one who was leaking information and I’m sure all email accounts are being scraped for the sexual harassment lawsuits.

Maybe Snyder is also in this web or maybe.. just maybe, he was smart enough not to use his work email for his shenanigans.

Not sure what you are defending tho, Chucky called the Commissioner a ####### and had all types of bigoted shit to say about everybody.

He is an idiot and deserves more punishment than just losing his job.

and wtf are you talking about abuse and murder for? Its like you get paid to post dumb shit.
2748088, He deserves more than just losing his job?
Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-12-21 11:46 AM
What else does he deserve, jail time? lol.

He did nothing criminal. He gave opinions and words on what he felt
in personal emails, and I’m not defending him. I’m focused on the
act and the attention towards it.

The whole purpose of bringing up murder was in relation to what Dave
Chapelle said about the cancellation of the Da Baby. Da Baby actually murdered someone, but people are only up in arms about his homophobic commentary.
That correlates to the WFT running a toxic environment that treated woman in a
inhumane way, but no attention will be given to that, and the focus will be on
Gruden’s words.

It was discovered over the summer that the NFL basically labeled black players
as sub-human people, who were not worthy of CTE health benefit claims because
they were perceived to be dumb and unintelligent. The NFL actually practiced that
rule, and no one said anything, or is saying anything. The NFL basically labeled
black NFL players as apes or animals, or to put it bluntly, dumb Ni**ers.

But let’s crucify and demonize a man for his bias and ignorant opinions

Yeah, let’s make him the poster child and scapegoat, while the real racist,
inhumane actions are being disregarded.

Hey, but continue to fall for the banana in the tailpipe and lack human
sensibility.

I couldn’t give a fock about a man’s email rant or NAME CALLING, when
the actual league itself is running A PHYSICALLY RACIST, INHUMANE
INSTITUTION.

One reporter is actually talking about that on ESPN.

is Gruden’s offensive emails?

Where are Bruce Alllen’s email responses, why haven’t those been leaked?

I see an institution protecting itself and putting the spotlight on a person

2748108, Right, and Jon Gruden wasn’t even employed by a NFL team
Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-12-21 01:02 PM
at the time.

But my actually point is that the leak was one sided. Only
Gruden’s words were leaked, not the responses by Allen.

2748114, They implied that Allen sent nude emails
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Oct-12-21 01:13 PM
and was involved in the back and forth…

but I believe since he is no longer employed by an NFL team it wouldn’t do much good to fire him from a job he no longer has.. lol

Gruden represents the shield as a current HC. This is why he had to go.

Snyder already fired Allen so what more do you want to happen to him? I’m sure Snyder wants that severance money back.

2748087, It was Mark Davis on his Nokia from PF Changs

2748101, Roger Goodell wasn’t Gruden’s boss
Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-12-21 12:42 PM
Mark Davis was. Roger Goodell is simply the commissioner of a league that
is made up of different companies, who profit through revenue sharing.

So your perception isn’t factual.

The company Jon Gruden worked for was the Raiders, who are members
of the NFL.

Those bullshit ass emails could have easily been addressed in private, since they
have shit to do with the actual investigation of a toxic institution.

You’re a smart cookie, so you should be able to recognize
someone being intentionally dogged.
2748115, and Goodell didn’t fire Gruden
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Oct-12-21 01:14 PM
Mark Davis did because he has to protect his brand.

Smarten up fellah
2748123, Davis fired Gruden because the NFL forced him too.

Not because he wanted too.

Cut out the bologna, son.

2748130, forced him? the owner is happy af to get out of that dumb contract

2748093, The Snyder family should be forced to sell That Team in DC...
Posted by CyrenYoung, Tue Oct-12-21 12:19 PM
..The same way Sterling was forced to sell the Clippers.

https://sports.yahoo.com/instead-of-offering-sympathy-for-the-wft-victims-tanya-snyder-only-showed-it-for-herself-210136425.html

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31731976/washington-football-team-names-tanya-snyder-co-ceo-franchise

Instead, the org received a $10M fine as they slid Tanya Snyder into place as if that would make things better. Yet, she didn't even bother to apologize or show empathy toward the women that brought the original lawsuit against the org (including cheerleaders, front office employees, media, etc).

*So Jon Gruden is forced to resign for trading nude pics with Bruce Allen and making bigoted/disparaging LGTBQ+ community (but NOT the racist comments made about a Black man), resulting in the loss of $60M, while the the org gets a slap on the wrist while Snyder hides behind his wife?

BULLSHIT.

The Snyder family needs to be removed from the NFL for allowing this culture to exist. I said it here:

The Gruden step-down was the correct move, but the other correct move should be nuking the Snyders' involvement in the league. Been that way for a long time now.
2748097, We don’t always see eye to eye.
Posted by allStah, Tue Oct-12-21 12:29 PM
But everything you just stated is 100.

Sterling was forced to sell over racially offensive words he stated
in the privacy of his own home, where he was secretly recorded.
But Dan Snyder actually owns an institution, where female employees
were sexually harassed.
2748098, 100% Agree
Posted by blueeclipse, Tue Oct-12-21 12:29 PM
This is absolute bullshit. Clearly someone in the league office had it out for Gruden and used this investigation as an opportunity to burn him once they found these emails. But this was AFTER they gave the WFT a slap on the wrist for what is one of MANY acts of misconduct from that team and that CLEARLY is toxic. It's a typical hypocritical move from the NFL. Jerry Richardson was forced out for less. Once has to wonder what Snyder has over the league that he got to keep his team when its pretty clear he should be gone from the NFL all together.
2748103, its a lot easier to force a coach to "resign" than take a pro sports team

2748104, regarding the power structure in the NFL
Posted by Numba_33, Tue Oct-12-21 12:48 PM
I remember either reading or seeing on TV many moons ago that technically all the league owners collectively are Roger Goodell's boss. If that is the case, that might explain why the Snyder family were given slaps on the wrist compared to what happened with John Gruden.

If what I typed is accurate regarding the power structure, it may take the NYTimes or some other newspaper organization to shame the league into revealing more salacious emails if team owners are involved by leaking them since I'm cure the league will want to hide as much dirt as possible.
2748107, who knows how deep the rabbit hole goes, it could me multiple owners...

2748109, this is exactly what happened
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Oct-12-21 01:04 PM
and I doubt he even had to leak them.

Snyder thought Allen was the snitch and prolly looked at his emails and screamed “Gotcha bitch” and then told Goodell to look thru the emails because he had nothing to hide.

After deleting all his shitty emails I bet.. lol

Unfortunately for Bruce, that whole power play with the minority WFT owners didn't work, and Snyder still has his team
2748120, I'm willing to bet it was the league that leaked them
Posted by mrhood75, Tue Oct-12-21 01:32 PM
As Bomani pointed out on Lebetard, the first place it was leaked to was the Wall Street Journal, which the NFL likes to use.

The likely leaked the DeMaurice Smith stuff first thinking it force the Raiders hand. When that didn't work, they leaked everything to the NYT,, and that did the job.
2748111, As a Steeler fan this makes me happy.. for Haskins
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Oct-12-21 01:07 PM

and now these fools think Gruden was sacrificed so DeMaurice Smith (sp) could get re-elected.

Posted by Cocobrotha2, Wed Oct-13-21 01:09 PM
The organization sucks but a big part of the problem is Snyder's interference with the actual football people making decisions.

Snyder doesn't do it as much as he used to but this was the last time I remember him overruling his staff.

If Haskins turns out to actually be decent, it'll be sheer dumb luck that he grew up in DC and went to Snyder's son's high school... bc that's really all Snyder needed to know about him.
2748117, Listening to Bomani talk on Lebetard, and he points out...

This is the opposite. This is the owner(s), the glazer family, simply
removing him. No group of people were asking for him to be removed.
It appears to be an excommunicado (John Wick lingo) act by the NFL itself,

Now that that part is over...be gone
But it is incredibly interesting
...listening to ESPN refer to Gruden as 'nfl hc'...
Like he wasn't an ESPN employee at the time
Not to digress, but I think some people missed a major part of the Rachel Nichols story
She wasn't criticizing Maria Taylor
She was criticizing ESPN
...not the exact quote, but she described ESPN executives as YT male privileged Trump supporters...
The Gruden story solidifies that
Gruden not only had one of the most coveted sports jobs calling MNF
ESPN also gave him his own feature...Gruden's quarterback camp
That would fit the brand that Rachel was criticizing
Along with having Ryan Smith host Get Up on Tuesday
...but anyway...

Somebody was sitting on these emails
What was released to date were during Gruden's time at ESPN
Motivation? What is there to gain from this
Opportunity? Who could be behind
Gain? Who gains the most from this

ESPN is so entrenched with the NFL, I can't see how this benefits the network, or why ESPN would want to do this
Obviously, they had the opportunity

The story feels like a rabbit hole, with +600K emails between some pretty big names

Really interested in seeing how the story progresses from here
I just hope people don't settle for Gruden being gone
Feels like there is so much more here.
2748170, They said they wont release the 650K emails

They (media) asked him to speak on the Gruden situation, and
he said no comment, and to go ask the NFL. They have all the answers.

Mark’s hand was definitely forced by the fraternity of owners to
get rid of Gruden. He was firm on keeping him after the first email of
offensive comments were revealed, but that second reveal of
offensive emails was inescapable.

One man is taking the ultimate fall for a league that has a history
of racism and a team that cultivated a toxic, inhumane workplace.
