Solid inside linebacker who plays anonymously -- the steady, unspectacular type. I like his well-roundedness though, especially when he gets to roll downhill. He loves to pop pads, and can stun some really good linemen in the hole. It's tough to get him on a pull block the way he attacks.

Not bad in the passing game, as well. He's a flat/curl defender, but reads his assignments well. When he can rush he's also pretty decent -- 6 sacks this year, mostly on green dog stuff that was timed up nicely.

While he lacks the explosiveness or range to be special, he's one of those grinders that lets the stars make plays. I think he'd be good in a 3-4 as a dirty work linebacker.

+ A "collision" player in run defense and grown man at line of scrimmage
+ Shows solid knowledge of route threats and doesn't often look overmatched in coverage
+ Baseline averageness to his game

- Footspeed is not elite and won't get to plays that other linebackers can make
- Ability to cover/rush in pass defense is limited
- Baseline averageness to his game
