And that's absolutely a given if Lebron is on the team, no matter which way, shape or form.

There's just more risk involved in chasing that dream for *this* upcoming season. While PG is probably like 90% for a long term max, Lebron will probably take the mercenary 1+1 player's option and Kawhi (if Pop even trades with the Lakers) is an unrestricted FA next offseason. So worst case scenario those two guys might not be around and we gave up at least Randle and some combination of Ingram/Lonzo/Kuzma.

Is that future risk worth challenging this specific, historically dominant, record breaking Warriors team *THIS* year? What's the point, if that's nowhere a given and actually unlikely?

My whole position is largely predicated on the fact that this Warriors team exists. We can talk Lakers' roster moves all day but if it doesn't beat the Warriors (as currently contstructed)? Why take that risk when we're still players for Kawhi (and Klay) next season?
